AIRCRAFT DEPARTING AIRPORTTIJUANA, MEXICO - JUNE 14: Iran's national football team departed Tijuana, Mexico, on Sunday, June 14, ahead of its FIFA World Cup Group G match against New Zealand in Southern California. Supporters gathered outside the team's hotel carrying Iranian flags as players and coaching staff boarded the team bus before leaving for Tijuana International Airport. Security measures were in place at the airport as the squad travelled to the United States for its opening Group G fixture of the tournament. Iran will face New Zealand in its opening FIFA World Cup Group G match on Monday, June 15. The tournament, hosted by the US, Mexico and Canada, will be held across three countries with 48 teams for the first time.
