Libya: Drone Attack Hits Libya’s Zawiya Oil Refinery.

Az-Zāwiyah, Libya - August 10, 2026 Libya’s National Oil Corporation said a drone attack targeted the Zawiya oil refinery and blending facilities, with the latest strike hitting a storage tank and triggering a fire. The attack was the latest in a series of drone incidents against oil assets in the western city since Sunday, prompting the NOC to warn that it could halt refinery operations if the attacks continue. The Zawiya refinery, Libya’s largest operating refinery with a capacity of about 120,000 barrels per day, remains operational, while no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
