CHILD SPEAKING TO REPORTER (Arabic)KHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - MAY 11, 2026: A Palestinian civilian was killed on Monday, May 11, in an Israeli drone strike near the Bani Suheila junction, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire reached last year. The victim’s body was taken to Nasser Hospital following the strike. Despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since Oct. 10, Israel has continued to attack civilians, resulting in the deaths of 837 Palestinians and injuries to 2,381 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The ceasefire followed two years of Israeli war that began on Oct. 8, 2023, killing more than 72,000 Palestinians, wounding over 172,000 others and devastating about 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
