VARIOUS OF ENTRANCE TO AL-AQSA MARTYRS HOSPITAL / HOSPITAL SIGN DEIR AL-BALAH, PALESTINE - AUG. 29, 2026: Four people were injured in an Israeli drone strike on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on Saturday, Aug. 29. Hospital Director Dr. Raed Hussein told Anadolu that the strike caused no fatalities, while four people sustained minor injuries and were treated in the emergency department. The attack targeted a medical supplies storage facility and damaged the hospital's water tanks, as well as laboratory infrastructure, devices and equipment, Hussein said. Hussein said less than 30% of Gaza's health system remains operational, with hospitals facing severe shortages of medical supplies, medicines and equipment.
