Iraq: Iranian Drone Strike Targets Kurdish Opposition.

Erbil, Iraq - July 28, 2026 An Iranian drone reportedly struck a Kurdish opposition camp near the city of Koya in Erbil Governorate, within Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Local reports said the strike targeted an opposition position on the outskirts of Koya, with large plumes of smoke seen rising over the area after the impact, reportedly caused by the resulting fire.
