Various of Capitol building, U.S. national flag Storyline Iran is preparing a list of conditions to present to the United States for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian security official said on Thursday. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said in an interview that Iran has reached an agreement with Oman on a shipping corridor through the strait. He added that ships would be allowed to use a designated temporary channel in the central part of the strait if the United States meets Iran's conditions. Also on Thursday, Rezaei warned that if the blockade continues, Iran will target U.S. economic interests fully and with intensity and force. The security official also stated that if conflict resumes, Iran will prepare for a new phase and that any future war will be different from previous ones.
