Geysers in the geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley periodically send hot water and steam several meters into the air due to high temperatures and pressure underground. Bruarfoss Waterfall, one of the area’s distinctive waterways, is known for its turquoise waters flowing through volcanic rock. Water gathering in natural channels among the rocks gives the waterfall its characteristic appearance.
