Emergency teams transported the body of Muhammad Taha to the morgue at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. At the hospital, the boy's grieving father embraced his deceased son to bid a final farewell. The strike was part of Israel’s continuing violations of a ceasefire agreement in effect in Gaza since Oct. 10, 2025. It came despite US President Donald Trump’s call for an end to Israeli strikes on the Palestinian enclave. The Israeli army has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000 others in a brutal offensive since October 2023.
