. SCRIPT In the airstrike carried out by the Israeli army on the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire, one child was killed and two people were injured. According to hospital sources and eyewitnesses, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to Israel targeted civilians in the Kayzan Ebu Resvan area in south of Khan Younis. In the attack 15-year-old Riyad Naci Nemr Ebu Nemr lost his life at the scene, and two injured people were taken to Nasser Hospital. Israel has imposed a crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007, leaving the territory’s 2.4 million people on the verge of starvation. It also launched a brutal two-year offensive on Gaza in October 2023, killing more than 72,000 people, and destroying the territory. A ceasefire was reached in October 2025, but restrictions on entry of aid and breaches of the truce have continued.
