VARIOUS OF HISTORIC TOMBS / VISITORS / DEPICTIONS ON WALLS LUXOR, EGYPT - MAY 14, 2026: Historic tombs of Amenhotep “Rabuya” (TT416) and his son Samut (TT417), opened after years of excavation and restoration work in the El-Khokha area of Luxor, Egypt. The tombs, discovered during excavations carried out in 2015 and dating back to the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom period, feature wall depictions reflecting daily life and burial rituals of the era. The New Kingdom of ancient Egypt, considered the peak of the civilization’s power and prosperity, lasted from around 1550 BC to 1070 BC and included the reigns of notable pharaohs such as Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, Tutankhamun, and Ramesses II.
