A prolonged summer heatwave and acute lack of rainfall across Central Europe have left the country's largest reservoir at its lowest level in nearly 65 years. The severe drop in water levels has exposed vast stretches of riverbed, severely disrupting commercial and recreational boat navigation throughout the region.
