Storyline Robotic vehicle inspector on duty in east China At a vehicle administration facility in eastern China's Ningbo City, AI-powered robots are helping conduct inspections. Equipped with AI chips and high-definition cameras, the robots move around the car to identify and verify key information like the vehicle's appearance, model type, and chassis number. The robots perform time-consuming tasks like cross-checking documents. They also scan for anomalies like grinding or tampering, theft, smuggling or illegal modifications. Zhang Chen, Officer, Ningbo Vehicle Management Office: "Right now, this robot is already in the trial stage, testing about four to five cars a day. Through continuous learning and upgrades, it can become more efficient in the future and be put into use at many sites, such as vehicle delivery centers. Car owners can do self-service vehicle inspections." According to the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Statistics, at the end of last year, there were more than three million private vehicles in the city.
