The incident occurred at around 17:00 in Erdaojingzi Village, Hongshan District, when the man tried to cross the river on an electric tricycle and was carried by the current toward the middle of the waterway. Rescuers arrived to find fast-moving water and heavy rain. Carrying life-saving equipment, including lifebuoys, they moved to the opposite bank, where the ground was higher and the current was relatively calmer, before approaching the stranded man. After placing a lifebuoy on him and securing him, the rescuers brought the man to safety. He was later found to be unharmed.
