The Ada-class corvette docked at the Port of Zeebrugge ahead of the public event, which will be held on July 4-5 to mark the 80th anniversary of the Belgian Navy. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour active-duty warships, watch military demonstrations and learn about technologies used by naval forces. The event will be open free of charge between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both days. Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken also visited TCG Burgazada together with Türkiye's Ambassador to Brussels, Baris Tantekin. Francken later shared photographs from the visit on X. TCG Burgazada is the third Ada-class corvette built under Türkiye's indigenous MİLGEM program. The vessel is designed for multi-role operations, with a primary focus on anti-submarine warfare. The corvette entered service with the Turkish Naval Forces in November 2018 and is equipped with indigenous combat management, radar, sonar, electronic warfare and communication systems. It can also deploy an S-70B Seahawk naval helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicles from its flight deck and hangar.
