VARIOUS OF MILITARY PARADE DURING NATIONAL DAY CEREMONY BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - JULY 21: Belgium marked the 195th anniversary of its National Day on Tuesday, July 21, with official ceremonies, a military parade and public celebrations in the capital Brussels. King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and members of the royal family attended the traditional ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula alongside Prime Minister Bart De Wever, Interior Minister Bernard Quintin, Defense Minister Theo Francken and other officials. The military parade featured troops from the Ukrainian army, while F-35 fighter jets took part in the National Day flyover for the first time. Public events were also took place at Parc Royal, the Federal Parliament, the Palace of Justice, the Court of Audit, churches and museums across Brussels, with the celebrations set to conclude with a laser and fireworks show at Cinquantenaire Park. In a National Day message, King Philippe called for greater humanity and compassion, urging support for the most vulnerable members of society and stressing the importance of unity in addressing global challenges.
