PEOPLE GATHERING AROUND TARGETED TENTGAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 17: The Israeli army injured at least nine Palestinians in an airstrike on a tent cafe in the northern Gaza Strip, according to local sources, on Sunday (May 17). Eyewitness Anas Daghmash said that the strike targeted the tent near the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation building in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. The wounded were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, with varying degrees of injuries, medical sources told Anadolu. The Israeli army has killed more than 72,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 172,000 in a two-year war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023. Despite a ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Israeli army has continued its attacks, killing over 870 people and injuring more than 2,540 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
