Today I'm making viral one pot meals to
0:10
see if they're worth the hype.
0:15
With everything we have planned this
0:16
summer, the last thing I want to do is a
0:18
lot of dishes. So, I went to the
0:20
internet onto Tik Tok to see what they
0:22
say is the best one pot meals. I'm
0:25
excited to try these. See if they're any
0:27
good. All right, guys. Let's get
0:29
cooking. The first one I'm making is
0:31
from Halfbaked Harvest. This is her one
0:34
skillet creamy sundried tomato chicken
0:37
and orzo. That's a lot. That's a long
0:40
one. And I can see how this went viral.
0:42
It looks amazing. Now, thankfully, I
0:45
found a link to her website, so I'm able
0:47
to get all the ingredients measured
0:49
correctly. Now, if you want to see the
0:50
original video that has millions of
0:52
views, I'll link it down below for you.
0:54
Now, first I'm going to mix all of the
0:55
spices together. So, we have oregano,
0:58
paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, and
1:00
some salt and pepper in here. Next, we
1:02
have one lb of chicken breast that is
1:05
thawed. You can use chicken thighs if
1:07
you want, but we are going to make these
1:10
a little smaller so they'll cook a
1:13
little better. Once your chicken is
1:14
done, I'm actually going to put it in
1:15
the original container that it came in.
1:17
So, I'm going to take 1 tbsp of olive
1:20
oil and pour it onto the chicken. And
1:22
we're going to mix this around a little
1:23
bit. Oh, baby is awake. All right. So,
1:26
you want to make it in a skillet that
1:28
can actually go in the oven. So, no
1:30
plastic handles. Make sure they're
1:32
metal. And then we're going to heat up
1:34
another tablespoon of olive oil. Now, I
1:36
love putting them back into the original
1:38
container cuz I'm going to throw that
1:39
away. So, now we're going to take the
1:40
spices and just gently rub them on each
1:44
individual chicken. When all the oil is
1:47
heated up, we're going to put these
1:48
right on. We are going to cook the
1:50
chicken about 3 to 5 minutes on each
1:52
side. All right, the chicken is done.
1:54
So, we're going to take it off out of
1:56
the pan. Now, to this pan, we're going
1:59
to add the two tablespoons of butter and
2:01
just get it till it's nice and melted.
2:03
Now, the recipe calls for shallots, but
2:05
I like green onions better, so we're
2:07
making it our own today. So, we're going
2:09
to add just two green onions. We're
2:11
going to cook these until fragrant.
2:14
Then, we're going to add about two
2:15
cloves of garlic in this and then one
2:19
cup of orzo. Orzo is like a pasta that
2:22
looks like a rice. It's good. And then
2:24
we're just going to kind of mix this
2:26
together. And we want to kind of brown
2:28
up the orzo a little bit. Once it's kind
2:30
of browned up a little bit. The original
2:32
recipe calls for wine, but I don't cook
2:34
with wine. So, we're just going to add
2:37
one can of chicken broth to delazes.
2:40
Now, we're going to cook this about 5
2:43
minutes.
2:44
Okay. We're going to add one cup of
2:47
heavy cream. Then we have two teaspoon
2:51
of don mustard. About 1/3 cup of grated
2:55
parmesan. And we're going to eyeball
2:57
this one this time. A little bit more
2:59
cuz you always need more cheese. Right.
3:00
Right. Then we have about a/2 cup of
3:02
sundried tomatoes. I cut those up so
3:04
they weren't so big. And then about two
3:07
cups of spinach. And again, I'm just
3:10
going to do a few handfuls here. That's
3:12
close, right? Close. We're just going to
3:14
mix this all together until this spinach
3:17
is nice and wilted. Okay, spinach is
3:19
pretty wilted. Now it's time to add back
3:22
on the chicken. Now, she got really
3:25
fancy and added a little fresh rosemary
3:27
on top along with some lemon. All right,
3:31
let's taste test it.

3:41
Oh boy. All right, that one is
3:43
definitely a five out of five. The next
3:45
recipe is that cast iron guy and he's
3:48
making beef stroenoff. Now, I can see
3:50
why this has millions of views. I mean,
3:53
really, who doesn't love a good beef
3:55
stroganov? Okay, you're going to start
3:57
by cooking one lb of ground beef. He
4:00
says in your cast iron skillet, but I
4:02
don't have a cast iron skillet, so we're
4:03
just going to use a normal skillet and
4:05
it will work just fine. Now, the one
4:07
thing he's not using is a chopster. So
4:10
that cast iron guy, I highly recommend
4:13
one. So he said we're going to add salt
4:15
and pepper right now.
4:18
I like that. Mix that in. Now you said
4:21
to add your garlic next, but I need to
4:24
drain my grease first. That's one step
4:25
that he didn't do, but I need to. All
4:28
right. Now, we're going to add a
4:30
tablespoon of minced garlic. And we're
4:32
going to just cook that until you can
4:35
smell it or until it's perfect. I liked
4:37
how I did this part. These are the
4:39
seasonings I'm going to add. I'm going
4:40
to mix that all up. Now, we're going to
4:43
add 1 tbsp of don mustard. That looks
4:46
about like a tablespoon. And then 1 tbsp
4:49
of worsture sauce. Worst worsture
4:53
worooster sauce. Whatever you call it.
4:55
One tablespoon. Next, we're going to add
4:58
four cups of beef broth. Okay, this is
5:02
the good stuff. And then we have two
5:04
cups of heavy whipping cream. Okay. Once
5:08
you have like a little light boil, we're
5:10
going to add 12 oz of egg noodles.
5:14
Okay. Now, the goal with this is to
5:16
cover all of the noodles. You don't want
5:18
crunchy noodles. So, we want them all
5:21
covered. Now, you could easily do this
5:23
in the Instant Pot, too. Just Just
5:25
throwing that out there. All right.
5:26
We're going to cook this for about 5
5:28
minutes. All right. Noodles are cooked.
5:31
Now, we're going to add 8 oz of cream
5:34
cheese and then about a/2 cup of sour
5:37
cream. And we're just going to mix this
5:39
until everything is melted and creamy
5:42
and smooth. All right, his wasn't as
5:45
juicy, so I'm just going to let it sit
5:47
on the stove top for a little bit. Now,
5:49
that is some good beef stroenoff. Next
5:52
up, stroganov.
5:56
M
5:59
probably one of the best rovenoffs I've
6:01
had. I love that it's ground beef and
6:04
not the steak. Yes, huge fan. Huge fan
6:07
of this. Five out of five. Now, this
6:09
recipe is from Mississippi Queen and she
6:12
got it from Web's Kitchen. Now, the
6:14
problem is there is no name for this
6:16
one. So, we're making a name ourselves.
6:18
We're going to call this cheese chicken
6:21
bacon and biscuits. Now, she got her
6:23
chicken from a rotisserie chicken. They
6:25
were just out of rotisserie chicken. So,
6:27
I cooked my own chicken in Instant Pot.
6:30
Now, in a skillet, she added chicken
6:32
from one rotisserie chicken. I added
6:34
about three chicken breasts. They're
6:35
kind of small, so close enough, right?
6:38
Close enough. Then, she added two cans
6:40
of cream of chicken soup. All right.
6:43
Then, we're going to add in 1/4 cup of
6:45
onion. I think it was one whole package
6:47
of ranch seasoning. So, we're just going
6:50
to call it a win right there. Okay.
6:52
Close enough. Then a half package of
6:55
bacon bits. And she bought Walmart. I
6:57
bought Kroger. They about the same
6:59
price. But always go name brand bacon
7:01
bits if you want them a little cheaper.
7:03
Not name brand, store brand. Then she
7:05
did 8 oz of cream cheese. Going to turn
7:09
on the stove top here. It's a pretty
7:11
good guess since we're working on a
7:13
skillet. And we're just going to try and
7:14
combine all this together. I'm guessing
7:16
that's that is what she's doing here.
7:18
Okay. While that's heating up on the
7:19
stove top, we've got to cut our
7:20
biscuits. Now, I like to use a pizza
7:23
cutter. You can use scissors. You can
7:24
use a knife, but I'm going to cut them
7:26
into about six pieces. And she only used
7:28
a few of them, but you know what? I love
7:31
biscuits. So, we're going to use all the
7:34
biscuits from the biscuit can. So,
7:36
there's eight of them. All right, the
7:38
mixture is done. Now, in the video, they
7:42
actually moved this to a different pan.
7:44
I'm going to keep it in this pan cuz we
7:47
want this one pan, right? No dishes
7:49
here. So, I got my eight biscuits. We're
7:51
just going to put these on and spread
7:52
them all around a little bit.
7:54
Now, this recipe didn't call for a
7:56
certain amount of cheese. So, we're
7:58
going to add at least a cup at least.
8:01
Okay. Now, they didn't give a cooking
8:03
time really. So, she stuck it in at 375
8:05
pretty much until it was brown. So, I
8:08
will give you a time on this one. All
8:09
right. We ended up going 16 minutes. All
8:13
right. This one I thought was
8:16
interesting. Let's just say that. So,
8:17
I'm curious of how it tastes.
8:22
Oh,
8:26
okay. If you like cracked chicken,
8:29
you're going to love this. That was It
8:31
was really good. Surprisingly,
8:33
delicious. I also give this one a five
8:35
out of five. There are reasons why these
8:38
have millions of views. They're amazing.
8:41
All right, if I had to pick a favorite,
8:43
the chicken orso. Highly recommend it.
8:45
Now, if you try any of these recipes,
8:47
let me know down in the comments. You
8:48
won't regret it. I swear. All right,
8:50
guys. I'll see you next time.
