Vegan Crème Brûlée

Mix up coconut milk, sugar, cornstarch, nutritional yeast, vanilla, salt, and turmeric in a medium saucepan

Make sure you break up all the clumps of cornstarch before you turn on the heat

Turn the heat on medium-high and bring to a slow boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until thickened

Pour the custard into ramekins and cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours

Top with a thin layer of sugar, then melt with a kitchen torch

Let it stand for a minute or two so the sugar can harden, and then it's ready to serve
