Is it time for me to start my next cut? It has been just about 2 months since I last went on a mini-cut to change the composition of my body. This is part of my body recomposition journey, where instead of simply losing weight, my goal is to cut out the bad part of my weight (fat) and replace it with good weight (muscle). This task is not easy and takes a lot of planning. However, I decided to share my journey with all of you as I build muscle and shed fat.

Like you could easily, if you ate out like two times a day, easily 4,000 calories
0:13
How is it going? Everyone. Today, I'm not showing you my workout, but I'm going to give you a little bit of a diet update
0:22
But before I do that, so the workout today is, it is arm day, the best day of the week. and
0:28
yeah I'll leave that I'll just drop in the description below what I did for arm day
0:33
so you can do that if you want to it's just pretty standard
0:37
arm day you can probably watch like this video if you're looking for
0:41
good arm day workout um yeah like I think the link should have been or will be right there so
0:48
diet update I'm I have determined as of last night I've determined that my next cut
0:56
will be starting on let's see what the actual date will be February 24th is when my
1:08
cut will start and it will end around the 20th of March yeah so what I'll be doing
1:16
there is I will be shooting for so I've been at 300 grams of protein I've been at
1:21
like 66 grams of fat trying to get there I've been I've been
1:26
more close to like 100, maybe like between 80 and 100 grams of fat per day
1:31
While I've been getting up to like 3,500 calories, 3,000 to 3,500 calories per day
1:37
And then carbs, anywhere between 200 and 300 and 300. So where are those calories going to come from
1:43
I'm going to try and drop protein down to, I think, 225 to 250
1:49
That's a pretty good range. Um because my ideal weight as a natural person natural lifter is what I should say probably like 225 is probably my upper limit So just 250 225 to 250 is just going to cover all the bases
2:09
That'll be about one gram per ideal pound of body weight. Yeah, so that works
2:20
Then carbs are going to drop those be probably like 150. yeah 150-ish then fat I'm probably gonna stay I'm just gonna stay more disciplined
2:36
on fat be closer to again like that 66 grams per day maybe even like 60 or 50
2:42
grams a day again that's it's just hard to get that one but so I told early in the
2:49
morning here today but things I'm looking forward to or looking I'm not looking
2:57
forward to the cut but the next few days I'm still going to stay like on my diet like
3:02
I'm going to try and keep calories where there are like with this sort of like just a
3:07
little bit above bulk just a little bit above maintenance bulk so I'm going to
3:13
stay there again I did sort of like the trajectory during this time since my last cut is
3:20
I immediately went up like four or five pounds I don't know I went up like six
3:25
pounds is what I did. I went up six pounds and then I stayed flat for a little while. Then I
3:32
bumped up my calories from like 3,000 to 3,500 and then I shot back up another five pounds. And
3:38
lately I've been at sort of a, I've been at a plateau at around 200 to 202 somewhere between
3:46
there the last a couple weeks. And I'm guessing that it's going to stay that way this week
3:50
I might bump up my bulk, sorry, my calories to be more like an actual bulk for like four or five days right before
4:00
Maybe get up to like 203 204 Again working out as hard as I can riding the bike every day I going to be playing hockey a few times
4:12
Anyway, so, yeah, it should be all good. And then I'm going to go on this cut
4:20
My goal is to do this for, I'm not really looking at weight-wise
4:24
However, if I drop more than like 10 pounds, if I get under like 194-ish, 193-ish
4:31
then yeah I'll probably stop the cut and then just trying to go maintenance a little
4:40
bit above maintenance but yeah so far like this this time's been good for eating
4:46
it's even with like 33,000 3,500 calories it really kind of opened my eyes to see
4:54
how bad it can be eating out but eating out at a restaurant for those with the dirty minds
5:01
I had to clarify that. Eating out at restaurants, like you could easily
5:09
if you ate out like two times a day, easily 4,000 calories
5:14
Easily. And that's not even like taking into account. If you drink like soda, like regular soda
5:21
at one of those restaurants, add another thousand or two calories. Like I no longer think it's like that difficult
5:28
to eat 5,000 calories in the day. because even at like 3,000
5:33
the hard part was just getting the macros or getting like the protein to 300
5:38
Not really even just like stomach-wise, like being able to fit it all in my stomach
5:44
but it's more just having the food available. The foods aren't made really for
5:53
a lot of foods aren't really made or prepared for people who are trying to eat 300 grams of protein a day
5:59
So it was a lot of a lot of like just having to cook on my own like steak chicken which is fine Like that I did it But for somebody who has full job a wife that works odd hours
6:17
like all hours of the day with her job, like she's always on call and stuff
6:23
And then having a almost one-year-old child, it just makes it hard sometimes just to find time to get out there and grill
6:33
so but with the with the cut it should make that a little bit easier protein drinks help but I
6:44
don't want to eat them too many times drink them too many times a day because they make my
6:48
stomach hurt a little bit it's just a lot you know like 42 grams of protein per one but but
6:54
yeah so to wrap this up because I've been talking a long while now yeah so I'm going to be
7:00
starting this I'm hoping to as I've kind of up, then plateaued, then up, then plateaued
7:05
I'm hoping to go down. Probably gonna see a couple of plateaus there
7:10
But again, I'm not going all the way down to my starting point
7:14
I'm looking to go up in essence. So my first cut, I went down, and then I went up
7:20
And whenever I go down, I wanna be a little bit above
7:24
at least a few pounds above where I was at before. So that's what I got looking forward to
7:31
That's why I'm looking forward to. this week, last few days, just going to eat some more
7:37
I'm going to try and build some more muscle and, yeah, then I'm going to go into a cut
7:43
It'll be like the start of the spring cut is what it will be
7:47
So, well, I will see y'all next time. So sorry that I didn't show you the workout, but yeah, so see you
