In this video, I'm going to give you five toxic things that you can remove that will change your life forever
0:04
The craziest part is you'll start to experience the benefits within seven days of doing these steps
0:10
It's the same things that I did that took me from this to this. The last step is like a turbocharger for your self-improvement gains
0:17
So stick around for that. Every social media mogul, be it Andrew Tay, Imangazi, whoever it may be, will tell you to do this
0:25
Yet they have a vested interest in you not doing it. Number five. social media detox
0:30
Deleting social media not only removes the brain paths that Mark Zucker has placed in your head
0:35
with his little tentacles, hitting every dopamine receptor in your brain, but it also gives you back more time in your day, right
0:43
We often complain about in life that we don't have enough hours in the day, and the reason we don't have enough hours in the day
0:48
is because we have mobile phones, we have laptops, everything just vying for our attention 24-7
0:55
So if you remove one of the biggest, biggest culprits for stealing your attention
1:01
social media, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, whatever it may be, you then get back time instantly back in your day
1:07
You can then start going to the gym. You can then start spending more time with your loved ones
1:10
You can then start that side hustle that you've always wanted to do because you've got time now
1:15
So this is a three-step process that I follow to limit my screen time and actually remove the addiction of social media
1:21
Number one, delete Instagram and TikTok. Number two, issue tech free zones in your house
1:27
So the lounge for me is my tech free zone. So what that basically means is I can go on my phone
1:32
I can play games I can do whatever I like in the lounge Bedroom no go zone no tech at all Why Because it messes with your circadian rhythm as well The next tip this one gives you the idea that you progressing in life It gives you the idea that
1:47
you're making or you're having achievements and you're rising through the ranks of men. But you're actually not
1:53
It's probably one of the best products on the market, right? Because it taps into our primal instincts of
1:57
rising through the ranks as a man as conquering, as challenging, as becoming the best possible version of ourselves
2:03
yet we don't do it at all because it's all in an artificial environment
2:08
Number four, stop playing video games. Video games have hacked into our reward system, right, and a reward mechanism
2:16
Instead of chasing real life goals, like starting a business, starting a family
2:21
meeting a woman, all of those nice, good high dopamine things that you could be doing
2:25
Instead, what it makes you do is you send channel your energy into a virtual environment
2:30
and when you channel your energy into that virtual environment, you're prestigiousing, you're doing well in the game, fair enough
2:35
but you've actually achieved nothing of any substantial value. You're wasting time in this game
2:40
You're not getting any reward for the labour that you're putting in, but your brain thinks you are
2:45
So, stop playing video games. They're just cold turkey, you don't need to play video games
2:49
There's so many better things you can do with your time. Now we've removed two major vices that have destroyed your goal-getting ability
2:58
If you don't do step three, you literally fail. The next step is so important, purely based on the fact it's how you start
3:05
your day and it's how you end it. Number three, proper sleep hygiene. Sleep, I've gone through
3:14
this in other videos as well but sleep is basically a legal performance enhanced and drug The drop off for having inadequate sleep versus having adequate sleep is monumental And for a lot of the younger guys out there
3:26
watching this video, the older you get, that drop off increases. You need to get eight hours of
3:31
sleep every single day. Yeah, if you don't, then you're screwed. Minimum, you need to get eight hours
3:35
of sleep every single day. This is what I actually did to set my sleeping schedule. Often
3:40
what I would do when I would fall out of a sleeping schedule and life happened, you can often fall in and out of one
3:45
What I would typically do is I would force myself the next day to get up, be at 6.30, 5.30, whatever that time was, I would force myself to get up at that time
3:56
I hook or crew, whether I've had four hours sleep, five hours sleep, six hours sleep, whatever it may be, I would force myself to get up at that time
4:02
And then as soon as I get up, I'll have my water, I'll do my cold plunge, or whatever it was, and then I'll have a coffee
4:08
And it's not normally recommended to have a coffee that early on, but I just needed that spike to get my energy going
4:13
Then what I would do is I'd try and stay awake for up until 10 hours prior to when I have to wake up the next day
4:19
So in this instance, if I'm waking up at 5.30 in the morning, I need to be in my bed for 7.30 to 8
4:24
I need to be starting to shut down, basically. Then I'd go sleep and then getting up at 5.30 became easy basically by the next day
4:31
Life is so easy nowadays. We can get our dopamine hits from anywhere. But there's one thing that people do
4:36
It's not scrolling on your phone. It's not playing video games. It's not binge watching The Gentleman on Netflix
4:42
It's the food that you've. Number two, no junk food at least for a week. Give me a week of your time to eat no junk food
4:49
Just one week. What we put in our body literally determines the quality of your life
4:53
If you feel it with bad foods the likelihood is you not happy right now you lethargic all the time you get hungry and you probably have acne So this is my four program for you to stop eating junk Go into your kitchen grab all your junk food and grab a bin liner and put it in there
5:08
You don't eat it. Or go to a food bank and give it there. Step two, don't buy any more junk food
5:14
So don't go to the supermarket and buy any. When you see the junk food aisle, this is not part of your life now
5:19
You can walk down the crisps aisle and walk through it. You don't eat crisps anymore
5:24
That's not part of your diet. Right, number three, replace chocolates with fruits like dates and bananas
5:29
And dates are my personal favourite because they give it that nice little instant kick
5:34
And they're naturally carrying their fruits, right? Step four, don't buy junk food
5:39
Yes, I repeat your step, but you need to hear it again. Don't buy junk food
5:43
Number one. One of the biggest reasons why you lack a get shit done attitude is because you have no self-control whatsoever
5:50
This hack that I'm about to tell you, it's the single greatest thing you can do
5:55
in terms of productivity. It's the single greatest thing you can do in terms of willpower
5:59
It's the single greatest thing you can do for self-control. No fat
6:03
The benefits of No fat increased energy, the want to do difficult things
6:07
people gravitating towards you. Most people think that no fat is this simple act, right
6:13
It's not doing it. However, it's a step-by-step process that you have to follow
6:18
If you don't do this step-by-step process, you will fail at this hack. Most people can't get seven days
6:25
But when you get to that seventh day, my God, it's like you're walking on clouds. In this video here, I go through a step by step process on how I revolutionize the way I approach Nofat and how I change my mind about it
