Today, fans of the hit sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, know Mayim Bialik as neuroscientist Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler. But before she started playing this beloved character, Bialik was actually a child actor back in the late '80s, who nabbed her breakthrough role portraying Bette Midler's character as a young girl in the comedy-drama, Beaches. She then transitioned to a teen TV star in the hit NBC sitcom, Blossom. Since then, Bialik's life and multi-faceted career have both evolved quite a bit.
