Easily Design Shaft in FreeCAD _ FreeCAD Tutorial _ Mechnexus _

video description in this tutorial we will model the multiple steps shaft

without creating the sketch with the help of a shaft design wizard so let's

start our tutorial I will close this file I will go to the part design first

I will create a new file then go to the part design and I will click on shaft

design wizard so here you can see that diameter of a 50 and 60 length shaft has

been created and I can add multiple steps to my shaft for this click on the

column and then click on add column then again click and click on add column so

you can see that steps is getting added then you can click and then add column and then add column so

this way you can create the multiple steps shaft and from here you can

modify the values of each steps like length you can change the length from

here diameter you can change from here if you have the inner diameter then you

can also give from here and if you are not to plot some graph then you can also

get the graph from here but I am not going much into deep about the constraint

type so here we have created a shaft just by copying the column and changing

the value now let's see what happens if we click on ok so once you click on ok

so you can see that our revolve shaft has been created here the best thing

about this design wizard is a sketch has been created and once you click on edit

sketch then you can get the diameter and length of each step and you can easily

modify it from here so this is how you can model the multiple step shaft in
