0:05
channel. If you're visiting or passing by do not forget subscribe if you're regular. Welcome back. This is video 2 of my cruise ship job plugs. If you want to
0:15
earn money traveling being a cruise ship member or a crew member guys please I'm
0:21
going to put the link somewhere here. I'll put a card somewhere here for you
0:25
guys to check the video but if you cannot find it I will put a link in the description box and as usual before I rush into it the link to apply for this
0:34
job will also be in the description box and also join my newsletter I send out
0:38
job leads every single day straight to your inbox. So guys as usual I'll be
0:42
pinning all the important stuff somewhere here and I'll be looking down because I'm reading from my device. The company is called Cruel Life 8c. It's
0:50
really a South African company. They are an agency guys so I'm not sure if they
0:56
will be the ones managing the payroll or once they place you the company where
1:00
they place you will be the ones paying you. So that I don't know. The recruiter
1:04
will explain all of that for you but as I said the company is based in South
1:09
Africa and they hire for cruise ships. So they say on their website that the most
1:13
popular jobs that they hire for second person are the person that does cashier
1:18
work right. Art associates, some cruise ships do have some art galleries, they have
1:23
shows and people purchase things on the cruise so you are in charge of that. Shop managers, they hire bartenders and all of that and also housekeeping. So
1:33
they're always on the hunt for people. Requirements to get the job on a cruise
1:37
ship. Guys cruise ship jobs are like any other job. You apply for the jobs that
1:42
you can do. If you have worked in a restaurant you work in a bar you can
1:46
apply for the bartending job. If you've worked in retail you can apply for the
1:51
presser, the art whatever. So just look at the job descriptions and see what
1:56
suits or what you can motivate for. It really is like working at a hotel right
2:02
They've got different roles to make sure that the people that are on the cruise
2:07
like the clients, the customers are having a good time and you guys are offering the services. That's basically what cruise life is. Of course there are
2:14
those other more complicated jobs you know like being the ship of the captain
2:18
whatever and they do have accountants on board. They also have nurses. They've
2:23
got doctors. That's more specialized but for now for this particular video I'm
2:27
talking about the jobs that I think I also can apply for right. Housekeeping
2:32
bartending, waitressing, that sort of thing. Playing with kids right. Now guys
2:38
they are saying that the things that you do need requirements right. You need a
2:43
valid passport. They do medical checks. You need a seaman book. Seaman book. Okay
2:51
I'm a child. Visa and all that but guys the only thing you need at the point of
2:56
applying is a valid passport. All of this other stuff you have it because they'll
3:00
send you exactly where you need to go. They'll give you information once you
3:04
secure a job and you're now processing your papers for you to be able to
3:08
experience cruise life ship right. But guys they do write on there that guys you do
3:14
not pay for a job on a cruise ship. It's a scam. You don't pay money to them
3:19
They're an agency. You know how agencies work right. Agencies get paid by the
3:25
cruise ship. The people where they'll be placing you. They pay you so you don't
3:29
pay for a job. You will pay money however for processing of your visa, doing
3:34
medical checks but you're not paying money to them. You actually go to your
3:38
doctor and get this stuff done. Most embassies will have like a official
3:45
government prescribed list of medical places you need to go for to get checked
3:50
for travel. So you are not paying any particular person. I just thought I
3:55
should stress that. Don't pay money for a job in this case or any other case
3:59
Current jobs that are available. So I did go and do a rough check. I'm like right
4:04
now if I wanted to get a job, cruise life, what sort of jobs are there. They
4:10
currently looking for a bartender. They are looking for a cruise industry
4:15
recruiter. That means you know your HR people. So they do have corporate jobs and they're
4:19
also looking for a waiter. I think that I did notice though guys is that
4:23
they also have jobs that are just not specifically where you're on the cruise
4:28
They also partnered with some luxury hotels like the bartending one. We are
4:33
looking for some African experience waiters for a luxury hotel in Doha. So you
4:36
will be working for hotels inland in Dubai. Doha isn't Dubai right? I could be
4:43
wrong but it's in the Middle East. This company is legit but guys as usual
4:49
always look around to see. Do your research on your own. I don't want you
4:54
guys to go work for Middle East and the next thing you're doing expose. Yeah you
4:59
know what I'm talking about but just make sure that you're doing your research
5:02
and checking on the internet guys. You can go on their LinkedIn page and see
5:09
who's been hired where and they will obviously tell you the name of the luxury hotel. They didn't tell us here but when you're being interviewed they
5:16
will tell you and if the onus is on you to be safe and then you need to check to
5:21
see if everything is on the up and up. I mean the hotel name will be there
5:25
Look them up. See what's going on. So then we can just go a little bit of extra. I
5:29
decided to check to see who their clients are. They do have some companies that they
5:34
have listed as on their clients. They've got Crystal Cruises, Sea Cloud, Sea Chefs
5:41
Haplang Lloyd Cruises, Main Chef Cruises, Cruising Group, Phoenix Raisin, Tui Cruises, CTI group. So guys this being said these are the companies that
5:52
will pay crew life at sea to place you. So just want to reiterate how working
5:57
with an agency works so that you're not caught up in a point where you find a
6:01
scam recruiter and she's asking you to pay money for a job. It does not work
6:06
that way. Now if you go on crew life at sea, their FAQ are under their
6:13
about page. They do have a lot of things that they address. How to get a job
6:18
on a cruise ship? How should I pay to get a job on a cruise ship liner? How long
6:24
does it take? How do I pass my interview? What is a C1D visa? Why must I
6:31
do a medical exam? What do I pack? What if no one collects me at the airport
6:36
Should I travel with cash and all of that? Can I smoke? Is there a gym? Can I
6:41
visit other ports while I'm on board? So they'll answer all those questions. If
6:45
you still have any queries once you get an interview guys do write down all the
6:49
questions that you have and I'm sure the recruiter will be able to ask you. Now
6:53
the fun part. How much can you expect to get paid? Now they have not written
6:58
salaries that they offer but for my own personal research someone who told me a
7:03
close friend of mine who has worked on cruise ships he says most companies so
7:09
guys this is you know most companies will pay you $1,500. $1,500 is around
7:16
28,000 rands a month plus tips. So he says on a bed month in total including
7:23
tips would get $2,000. $2,000 is around 38,000 rands a month. I'm not sure people
7:32
that work on cruise ship pay tax because why are you paying tax to? You work in
7:37
no man's land right? So that is something again the recruiter will explain to you
7:42
but guys question working on a cruise ship is long periods of time when you
7:48
are not at home and you get a long break so you could be on a three-month
7:53
cruise three months at sea a month off six months at sea a month plus days off
7:59
something like that so it's just something that I think you guys should
8:03
be aware of but if you're getting 40,000 rands a month you can do this like for a
8:09
year right a year bang boom this may be helpful you managed to save at the
8:16
minimum the least you make 400,000 rands that's a lot of money you could do
8:22
whatever change your life start that business do whatever right but anyway
8:26
guys job lead I like I said this is job lead number two I did talk about the
8:30
first company I will put in the description box and guys I will come
8:35
with a third job in my next video remember you are amazing to let anyone
8:40
tell you otherwise until next time
