What is FOLFIRI Chemotherapy?

FOLFIRI is an acronym for a chemotherapy regimen containing two chemotherapy medications called fluorouracil (5-F.U) and irinotecan. Like any chemotherapy regimen, FOLFIRI has potential side effects. The common side effects of FOLFIRI include fatigue, nausea, ulcers in the mouth, and low white blood cell count. FOLFIRI can also cause coronary vasospasm and severe diarrhoea in some people.
