LinkedIn0 Derek Jeter Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Re2pect will make its official debut on May the 14th and I’m sure everyone is wondering how many pairs of the shoes were made. To come up with a believable estimate, we’ll consider several possibilities. Nike never truly discloses what criteria is used to determine how many units of a certain product are going to be manufactured. But there are certain tendencies that are always recurring with Nike. Hey, what's up guys? This is Tai from Masterkicks.com
0:04
And I usually don't do this kind of stuff on Sunday, but I figure I gotta do this because the shoes coming out tomorrow
0:12
So I'm here to talk about the Derek, Jeter, Jordan 11, Lou, respect
0:20
And I kind of want to shut some light on how many pairs were made and the market value
0:25
Alright, now, so to do this, I'm going to make some assumptions again
0:29
everything is based on assumptions that I make. It's not like it's a reflection of the total truth
0:35
where I try to be as close to the truth as possible. Now, let's watch from here
0:41
So in the case of the G-Dher 11th, so I think the brand might use his age, jersey number
0:47
number of home runs in deciding how many pairs or how many units to make
0:52
Now, it's currently 43 years, and he wore number two, and he has 260 home runs
0:57
So my subjective mind says either 43,000 pairs, 20,000 pairs, or 26,000 have we made
1:04
But this is just me being subjective. I don't think this is the truth, but this is just thinking about it
1:11
Now, how can I come up with a number that's actually more feasible
1:15
That's what we're going to be talking about. And I'm going to get to it in a minute. So the first thing we want to do is this
1:22
We want to know how many stores are getting the shoes. Now when I checked online the only place I scanned them is champs East Bay Kix USA and Nike of course Now I am surprised that Foot Locker wasn considered I mean I don know why they ain even used Foot Locker
1:38
Usually, it's Foot Locker is one of those that get it. So I don't know why. So I'm going to assume that Champs will receive a one-fourth of the total inventory
1:45
like I said in this slide here. And the challenge for me was to come up with a number of shoes by Champs, physical location
1:53
Now, my way home, that was like on last Wednesday. I stopped by my local chains and the manager told me she got like 18 pairs
2:02
So I'm going to assume that that's the standard per store. And based on this standard, we're going to try to find the number
2:10
And this is, we're going to get to the next slide. So if I counted about 231 champ locations and you can actually go here and see that, I'll
2:19
actually save a picture for you is right here. So if you go, you can go on your champs
2:27
website and actually count the location, I counted 238. And this is what I'm showing you on this slide over here
2:34
So if it's 238 and we have, uh, 231, I mean, and we have about 18 shoes per store
2:43
All you have to do, simple math, just do 231 times 18. I came up with 41 50 years
2:48
So I kind of ran it off to like 5,000 pairs, uh, in total for the physical locations, a champs
2:55
And if I consider, if I think that the online stores getting about the same amount 5 so the total will be 10 pairs right Remember I said earlier that chance probably received about one for the total inventory I mean when I say that I mean physical and online stores included
3:13
So if that's the case, then the total number of pairs made is 10,000 times four, which is 40,000
3:18
which is actually close to what I came up with earlier. I say the two things that Nike is going to do is they're going to use its age, his number of home runs, and his number
3:28
So it's not 20,000. It's not the 26,000. I'm thinking 40,000 pairs in total
3:36
All right. Now, if that's the case, let's check how much the shoes are going for on eBay or any other marketplace
3:44
I don't like to use any other place besides eBay because stock X is fine
3:49
But with the property stock X is you can't tell whether those numbers are for real or not
3:53
They can make up any numbers they want. So that's why I don't trust it. I mean, I like it
3:58
I know that they're probably telling the truth, but I can't trust it because I can't verify the information
4:04
So you can always go, let's go on eBay real quick, and we're going to figure this thing out
4:08
It's easy, man. I just went in and look at the recorded sold items
4:15
And this is what I came up with 3.30, 3.30 here, 420, 429
4:20
So it's only like 5 shoes sale. Actually, let's click on it
4:23
See how many sold here. Ah, that's just a couple here. So let's look at this again that's just one oh boy
4:31
Let go back here let look at this one and let see how many shoes he sold he sold about two bears and each one sold for
4:42
420 on our website when I wrote the article I recorded like two sales and each one was like 439.99
4:50
So the shoes like probably going for like 400 and a little bit less than that if you look here on my
4:56
website this one here listed are 34999 and let's see stock X and
5:02
Let's see what stock X is saying. Again, this is not like a reflection of the entire market
5:10
so I don't really trust this information here. I just want to type it to see if this is actually closer to the truth
5:15
So let's view the number of sales. They recorded about probably like 20-some sales
5:19
and everything, if you scroll quickly down, is it centered around 350, 3
5:26
I guess between 300 and all the way up to 700. I'm like, that's made a third
5:30
Who's that stupid guy? I paid $700 for the shoe. That's crazy. Now, you can see as the date is getting closed to the release date
5:37
the price is dropping with time. And if you look all the way, the last sale occurred today
5:43
made it 13. That was a size 10, 295. Again, I can't trust this information
5:48
They can just put it over there. I don't know. But based on observation, it's 320
5:54
All right? And right away, this is the shoes here. You can see, I gave you links of where to get the shoe
5:59
Nike and Kix USA, and champs of course. I hope this helps, guys. So stay tuned for more shoes. This is Typhan Watcher Kix
