As believers in Christ, it is very important that we strive to understand through the help of the Holy Spirit given to us our standing before God. We are called children God as John said in 1 John 3:1-2 “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” Because the world does not acknowledge us as children of the Living God but rather despises us, we become indifferent to who we are in Christ. The word of God becomes uninteresting to us and we end up adopting the ways of the world and try to fit in. Today I want to zero in on Ephesians 1:2-14, a passage that explains our adoption process as children of God.
