Apple Home Collection Buying Guide: Will It Work With Your Smart Home?

Apple launched a new Home Collection developed with LG and Schneider Electric, expanding options for home security, access, and comfort for iPhone households. The Apple Home Collection includes cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock, thermostats, and room sensors built for Apple Home, with U.S. availability starting December 2026 and some arrivals in early 2027. Pricing spans LG cameras at $199.95–$399.95, a $249.95 Video Doorbell Wired, a $349.95 Smart Deadbolt Lock using Ultra Wideband, and thermostats from $199.95 with $39.95 room sensors, with iCloud+ event video history support. Apple cites 2.5K capture and recognition features on LG cameras, plus Adaptive Temperature on both thermostats. Buyers should confirm compatibility, bridge needs, and installation, with ADT installation slated for fall 2026.
