Charlie Kirk's death has left a "void" in conservatism, American comedian and actor Rob Schneider has told GB News.Speaking to the People's Channel at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas, Mr Schneider said the right wing activist and Donald Trump ally, who was assassinated last September at Utah Valley University, was "irreplaceable". Within the Maga movement, Mr Schneider said: "There seems to be some infighting because there's no replacing Charlie Kirk."He continued: "He was personally responsible, I believe for the 22.5 per cent bump and young people, which has never happened in the history of our electorate. "In that void, there's some infighting."WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW ABOVE.

I have bumped into none other than Andrew Doyle and Rob Schneider here at CPAC
0:04
Thank you, chaps, for speaking to us. What are you doing here, first of all, apart from the obvious
0:09
Well, as you know... In this country? You mean him in this country? I think that's what he's getting at. Why did you leave the UK
0:14
I want to know why Andrew's not in the UK. What's wrong with it? I want to know too. Because this guy poached me
0:19
No, so I moved over here, so we're in Arizona now, and we've been working on various projects with Graham Linehan and Martin Gawley
0:25
and we just came along to CPAC because, well, why? So that we could talk about stuff, I guess
0:29
Yes, there seems to be a movement, and we feel pretty confident that Trump's going to get in this time
0:37
An unconstitutional third term. I hope so. 2028. No, I think that this is really, we are behind in the conservative movement
0:48
And we have, the liberal intelligentsia has kind of taken over the culture
0:54
and if we don't fight back for it, I think we have a long way to go
1:00
How are we going to do it? You're asking me for all the solutions
1:04
I don't have all the solutions. You said it on the... I'm leading you into something
1:08
I just heard you talk... What do you do? You're a professional... You just gave a blueprint of saving Western civilization
1:12
I basically did. I think the key thing is conversations, which is what GB News has always done
1:16
The idea of actually getting people on to speak and say the things that it's been decided
1:20
that we mustn't say, this is why GB News has been able to change the culture
1:24
and that's why I'm so proud that I work there and I'm still associated with them and here we're having those conversations again
1:29
I think what he said was you don't get smooth you don't get smooth unless there's friction
1:35
whenever he does my accent it's so embarrassing if I did your accent, how would you feel about that
1:40
You're certain, you've been here long enough Hey, I'm Rob Schneider is that good
1:45
That's pretty accurate I'm not getting involved in that one but Andrew's an important voice
1:51
as you know. I mean, I would talk to, I mean, I was just saying on stage, I called Andrew
1:55
and I said, who helped you write that speech? How many writers do you have at GB News? And
2:00
he said, oh, I wrote it myself. It was just me, all by myself. All by myself. That's how
2:05
little money they're spending. It's an interesting point you make about the conservative movement being behind because
2:10
you notice how he just jumped right over that? Well, what, the budget
2:14
I'm not as funny as you. Yeah, he was pretty tactful there. I've got a mortgage to pay. Kids to feed
2:19
So what were you saying? I was gonna say, in no way is it comparable, and I'll make this comparison, although it's not comparable
2:25
George Floyd after the death of George Floyd the left united and mobilised in a way you never seen before And after the murder of Charlie Kirk we got infighting we got a massive split in the Conservative movement you got MAGA maybe at war with each other
2:38
Why has that happened? How has that happened? Well, you're better placed to answer that, I think, Rob
2:42
Well, I think, unfortunately, we don't have a... I mean, I will say that the liberal intelligentsia
2:50
I don't know what terms, the Democratic Party, they're more confident. And I think that they get behind something
2:56
whether they believe it or not. It's a constituency of no differing opinions
3:04
It's an ideology that, while they may think differently privately, outwardly, and as a political part of the culture, they stick
3:15
And we don't. I mean, I think that's the problem with conservatives. That's a good problem, is that we can disagree on stuff
3:21
and we can say that openly. However, there seems to be some infighting, because there's no replacing Charlie Kirk
3:27
He was personally responsible, I believe, for the 22.5% bump in young people
3:35
which has never happened in the history of our electorate. So that's impossible
3:39
In that void, there's some infighting. But I think if you can get to what the real core is, we love America
3:46
and there's traditional values in the cultures. And this, based on Judeo-Christian traditions
3:53
is something that Western civilization is built upon. And so that's something that's worth fighting for
3:59
I mean, I think one thing I would add is that there is a risk on the right in America that they'll do what the left did wrong, which was to embrace the sort of crazed fringe
4:07
and, you know, give the impression that they are more powerful than they are
4:11
I mean, when it comes to the left, the first thing that Biden did on his first day in office
4:15
was to sign an executive order saying that men can compete in women's sports, right
4:19
So he did it straight away. And he was meant to be the non-woke candidate, right? But that's what he did
4:23
And in other words, that very, very niche, very, very strange, esoteric, pseudo-religious woke movement
4:29
which was never a majority, even on the Democrat side, suddenly became the face of the Democrats
4:34
So what you don't want to do on the right is where you've got some very weird, extreme conspiratorial thinking now
4:40
We should just accept what's going on there is that that is a minority fringe who are not reflective of the Republicans
4:47
but there's a danger that they will be elevated and perceived to be reflective of the Republicans
4:51
So you just need to deal with that. And the left will use that to denounce the whole conservative movement
4:56
as a bunch of crazies. As they're wont to do. There nothing more important than keeping your money and your identity safe online And with so many VPN options available choosing the right one can be pretty daunting But this video sponsor ExpressVPN is making the choice easier for GB News viewers

6:33
Start protecting yourself today with ExpressVPN. There was some polling this week from JL Partners
6:38
showing that just 8% don't support Trump in not just the Iran war
6:42
but generally the administration. So I think this conversational rhetoric that there's this massive split
6:46
it's over-egged. The polls are overwhelming. The Republican support for what Trump is doing in Iran
6:51
is quite clearly overwhelming. It's not presented that way. It's not presented that way. People are saying, oh, it's massively splitting the party
6:58
I mean, it clearly isn't. So we've just had over recent years the problem
7:02
of people being more interested in the narrative than the reality. Yeah, yeah
7:05
And so you need to get back to look at the facts. What are the facts? Talking of Biden, I'm looking forward to Easter at the White House
7:12
because do you remember when Biden was in, he used it to have the Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday
7:17
Sacrifice. Did he? Yeah. Do you not know that? I don't remember that. Oh, goodness me. Well, the bunny route, I thought that the whole thing of the Easter bunny was
7:23
you don't know if it's a boy, you don't know if it's a girl, if it doesn't matter. It's a non-binary bunny
7:28
Maybe that's what it is. All right, let's talk about something fun to sign the night off. What are you guys up to
7:32
What are your plans here in America I thought we were going to get a Well you wanted to get a steak and I a vegetarian So there going to be some more friction This is going to be a very difficult conversation But I know at a steakhouse they have a decent salad for you
7:43
They'll have a burrata at best. I mean, it's fine. I can sit there around
7:48
I don't mind carnivores. Some of my best friends are carnivores. But, you know, it'd be nice if we just went to a salad bar
7:53
I'll go to a salad bar with you. I'll do it. I'll do it. That's not very fun. Not very Texan, is it
7:56
I'm going to find the after party. We're going to also do comedy. The thing about it, Sue, is you can subvert people to a different point of view
8:02
or get them to question things through comedy. That's what Andrew does. So that's what we're trying to do is to not just preach to people about things
8:10
It's to find an openness. And if that just happens to be conservative right now
8:15
because the ideology of the left is to silence anybody who even thinks differently
8:20
So they like the idea of equity, equality, and diversity, but not diversity of thought
8:25
So we want to bring that. and do it in a humorous way so we can have fun. Yeah, comedy's very disarming
8:30
And also, by the way, you say it's conservative ideas. These ideas, maybe 15 years ago, weren't conservative
8:35
They were just common sense. They were just normal ideas. They're not like... Ideas like human beings can't change sex
8:39
Yeah. All of a sudden, that's a conservative idea. Oh, you figure. There we go
8:44
Right, thank you, guys. I'm not having dinner with you after that. Come with me instead
8:49
Forget him. How's Graham getting on? Has he recovered from his costume at Heathrow by the woke police
8:55
I think he's loving it. I think he's loving being somewhere where he's not going to get arrested for tweets. That's a pretty low bar
9:00
I just want him to work as hard on non-scripts as he does on his tweets
9:04
He's very good. If he can concentrate on not getting arrested. But that's interesting, though, because I just wish the president of the United States
9:12
and the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, and President Trump would talk about Graham Linehan for his new show that he's producing
9:20
with Andrew Doyle and our new company. Give it a plug. I like that
9:23
Give it a plug. Well, he's going to work it out. But he's got a couple things he's working on
9:27
I will tell you that. England has, they need to be careful because you don't want to lose your great talent
9:34
When you lose a Graham Linehan, when you're allowed to rent an Andrew Doyle
9:40
you're losing some of your top talent. No, we are. It's a brain drain, as they call it
9:45
It is. And I think the United States, it still has that openness and we have that freedom
9:48
where, you know, it's just how hard you want to work. And I also think Andrew will go back to the UK
9:55
after having some smashing success. I think that's how you call it. Maybe wait till after Labour have gone
10:01
Might be a bit safer. Well, I won't get arrested at Heathrow with someone else in charge, that's for sure, yeah
10:06
Chaps, thank you so much. Really appreciate your time. Thanks, man. Enjoy your night wherever you go. The salad bar
