How to List a Digital Product on Etsy (2024) Tutorial For Beginners

What is up everybody? Welcome into this new video of Tech Express. My name is Stephen

I'm going to be showing you how to list products, digital products into

Etsy.com. The very first thing you want to do in order to get started

is to have an actual free account into Etsy and then later on you can

become an actual seller. So to become an actual seller, what I want you to do

is to open a new tab and here I want to look for

Etsy become a seller or you can go into the Etsy.com fast forward slash sell and here is going to be appearing this

become a seller part section. So there are a couple of things

you need to take in mind if you want to start selling here into Etsy

and before you get into get started. And those are the tools, the stories

the selling support and the fees. So the fees, I'm going to click here

the fees, if your listing are active for 4 months, we need to pay 20 cents

per listing fee per product. So if I'm selling let's say 10 products, in our case 10 digital products, I'm going to

be of course paying 20 cents of each product. That would be like a dollar. But this is just

one time stuff until we sell something. Then when we sell an item, there's a small commission

and a standard payment processing fee. So they're going to be taking

that 5% of the transaction fee plus 4% plus a quarter of a dollar of a payment processing fee. This is what

appears as MX because I'm currently into Mexico City. So the 50

upside ad free, this is an Etsy pays to advertise the item across the web

through upside website. We can only pay this a fee when we make a sale from one

of those ads, but we are actually not going to be using this at the moment

So just to take that in mind, of course, we are not actually paying like a lot

but still if you want to sell stuff into Etsy totally for

free, you need to consider this. Of course, this is like not a lot

It's really important that you guys take in mind that because I've seen in the comments below

that people want to sell for free and this video is totally useless

because I wanted to look out for something that is totally for free. So that's the reason why I wanted to explain

this before we can start. So now that you have that in mind, you can go in to get started. And what you want to do is

to go into your shop manager. This one should be taking us

into your shop dashboard. Here into the shop dashboard in my case

I do now have an active sales channel. So once you are here into the sales channel you want to add your custom name, your custom brand

your custom logo, your items and so on and on and on

So in my case I do have now the shop manager enabled. So in order to get started with some digital products, first of all I wanted to

make sure that my store is now been active. And for that I want to

go into my finances and here into my payment account and into my payment settings

I want to make sure that I have my money and my credit cards already been listed

looking really really great. So in my case I needed to pay

for an actual listing price here of almost $1 in order to continue selling here. So what I want to do

just to pay this and then later on I can go ahead and add more items

So in my case, speaking about digital products, I'm going to be selling

this product we created with pixelart.com. If you want to check it out this place you can create a lot of artworks using some pixel

digital performance and this is how what you can do of course and if you like

to you can sell those products later on. In my case I want to sell these products

into this actual video. I'm going to be selling this kind of products. So what I did

here is to download my products. I want to go here into my Etsy, look up

for the listing and here into add a listing. The process is not that hard

if you have sold here into Etsy it's a little bit more easier than that because we're actually not be

shipping anything, there's no price of the shipping process, the delivery is instantly

so you want to just take that in mind. Here into my title what I want to do

is to look up for some digital pixel art and you want to describe what is the product that you're actually selling

Let's go for St. Patrick's Day. I would like to add more images

or the process of the product of how do I do this actual image so people

can see, can be more incentivized or trusted that I actually created

this myself and I am not just copying and pasting stuff totally for free. I mean to gain money for free and do nothing

This is the reason why you want to do add a listing for example like a video

you can add some more photos and all of that. So here's the thumbnail and here into

the description what makes your item special. Buyers will only see the first new lines

until they expand the description. So here you want to be short and precise

you want to explain why you create this product, you want to explain how you create this product

how you create the product and what makes your item special. You want to add the value. The value of your product

I mean I want to sell this product for $10 but I want

to explain why is this actual product worthy of $10 so that's the reason why you want to add all of that in the description. Now into the inventory

I'm going to add my price, the quantity, let's say that I want

to just sell let's say for example one of those. I had

an SKU number if you want to add it. Here's my details

the category, the tax, the delivery and here into the delivery I want to go into select my profile, let's go for new profile

and here let's go for original postal code the processing time is one business day and everything should be free delivery

in less than one day. And the profile name let's go for

digital products here into save and apply, there we go. So now

we are now actually good to go. Now before I publish this

I can strongly suggest to you, what I want to do here is to add more

images. So instead of selling this product, instead of selling this image, I want to go for, I will

let's go for custom digital pixel art, let's go for, now the price of course

is going to be a little bit, let's say more tougher, let's go for

342, and there we go. So my value is now increasing because I'm not offering one product, I'm offering to go for

a custom pixel art creation. So I'm going to go now into publish or you can go into save as a draft before

you list your product. Of course you want to choose the category, in my case it's a digital

art or digital printing, art and collectible print digital art, as you can see here it is, or digital

art illustration, digital, I'm going to go into done, there we go

Now let's go into save as a draft, and if there is nothing

else to add, it should be appearing into my draft here is my draft, there we go. So now what I want to do is

to look out for my product before I list it, which is this one, and I'm going to go into

publish, so I can see how it's going to be looking my product. So here

I'm going to publish and I go into my listing and click there

and then later on I can view this into Etsy and boom, this is how it's going to be looking our product. Here is our name

this is the price, this is the art collection, my highlights the delivery, and really really important, who is the person who is going to be

making the selling. If I scroll a little bit down, as you can see there's actually

more people who are selling the same stuff as I am doing here

So if you want to make some research of what you can sell into Etsy, I can

totally suggest you to, let's say for example, go into pixel, and as you can

see there's 2000 people with ads selling this product, so I want to aim for less

competition, so I can get more chances to sell my products here into Etsy. So this is how guys we can do some digital products
