Dreams of an autonomous state for the Kurds are slipping away after a Syrian government offensive saw them lose large swathes of territory in the northeast of the country. A ceasefire deal at the end of January between Kurdish-led forces and the government in Damascus ended the fighting. In Middle East Matters, Haxie Meyers-Belkin spoke to Mohammed A.
