Massive Change At CNN - Major Figure Is Out In Another Shakeup At Struggling Network

suffered another major, major loss. This one's going to hit them really hard

Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow

So CNN's been struggling in the ratings for quite some time. You know, ever since really Chris Cuomo left, he was their highest rated guy

He got involved in that scandal with his brother Andrew Cuomo, who was then the governor

of New York, who got involved in his own scandal, who was removed as governor of New York

That also led to Chris Cuomo being removed because he had assisted his brother with messaging

and whatnot with reporters. But he had the highest rated show in prime time on CNN at the time of his removal

Then you took Don Lemon from prime time where he was struggling and sent him to the mornings

where he struggled even harder. And it's just been a mess over there

Brian Stelter was one of their more notable hosts, not popular, but notable on the weekends

He was axed. They're trying a new morning show. They're trying new prime time lineups

They're trying new prime time programming and all of it, all of it is failing

All of it is crumbling around them. And now the man in charge of it all, CNN CEO Chris Lick, is apparently stepping aside

He'll still keep the title of CEO, but he's handing over day to day operations to Dylan

Byers from WarnerMedia. Now everybody believes that Dylan is going to actually be running the operation while

Lick will stay in charge of programming for now. But officially the official company line is that Byers will report to Lick, but the industry

insiders and people at CNN don't believe that for a second. And the reports from Puck News, and Puck News, very reputable news inside the beltway, says

that Lick is out. And you have to wonder if he's out as the main man there running business operations

what happens to the top talent at CNN? What happens to your Jake Tappers, your Anderson

Anderson Cooper is getting hammered. He's getting eviscerated. He got beat last week by Newsmax, which is in significantly less homes than CNN is in

There's not a network in the news industry that does not beat CNN every single day unless

you look to like NewsNation or OANN, who are just in so many less homes they can't compete

Even Newsmax really can't compete just because they're not in the same number of homes

You have to have an even playing field. You know, it's interesting because CNN used to be the number one name in cable news

It was the only name for a while. And then they got competition, but they remained number one for a long time, well outpacing

the others who tried to compete with them. You know, it also hurts CNN that they had the Russian collusion hoax, that they went

after Trump with lie after lie for his entire presidency. And then when people find out that they've been lied to, even if you're on the left

if you find out you've been lied to for all those years, do you really want to watch that network anymore

So CNN, I don't know if they can right this ship. This might be the end to me

In five years, does CNN still exist as a cable television network

In my opinion, I don't think so. Maybe as a streaming network, it still exists, but as a cable television network, I just

simply don't think it can compete anymore. And I think that's obvious to anybody

It's like trying to save the Titanic with, you know, a paddle
