Ilhan Omar Shredded As 'Bigot' And Racist' - Comments About White Men Come Back To Haunt Her

and Ilhan Omar has stirred up a hornet's nets of controversy after some statements she made about white men

Those little things really help us out and I know I sound like a broken record, but it's really important and we really do appreciate it

So Ilhan Omar was being interviewed by Al Jazeera, who else? And the subject came to Donald Trump's

what they called Muslim ban. Now, before we even get started, I want you to know that this video was shot in 2019

We're now in 2023, so it's an older video. That being said

the reason that it's caused controversy in the past week is it was shared by a

Twitter account known as End Wokeness. This is a very popular Twitter account and the video went viral yet again and

caused controversy yet again, so we're going to reexamine it here. Now it's important to note that this was taken

the clip you're going to see was taken out of context. There was a broader interview in which they were talking about Trump's quote

unquote Muslim ban and Ilhan Omar said that people should be more worried about

white men than they were about people from the Middle East or for these

particular countries that were banned. Let's take a look at a short clip. I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country

because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country

So if you want to know the full context of what was said, that's where it is

but it doesn't negate what she said. Context is important, but the words she spoke, the words you just heard, that's not AI

It's not fakery. It's not somebody doing an Ilhan Omar impression. It's Ilhan Omar saying that people should be more frightened of white men than

the people who were on the country ban from former president Donald Trump

And you can think what you want. You can say white men are disproportionately whatever, whatever. However

we did look up FBI crime statistics and it's not true. It's not true. White men are not

If you were going to pick one group of people to fear, it probably wouldn't be white men judging by the FBI statistics

I'm not going to go into them here, but you can look them up for yourself. Although I'd advise not fearing any one particular group of people over another

anyway, because there's circumstances involved in everything. Poverty plays roles in this, you know, uh

being in a city area versus a rural area. There's a lot of factors that play roles. I would say to you

and I would say to anybody who would listen, the color of one's skin does not determine how

how much or how likely they are to commit acts of violence and crime, nor does one's religion dictate how likely they are to commit violence and

crime. These are ridiculous ideas, human beings, right? We all come from God

And because you have a different shade of skin than somebody else, it's about, it's about migrating, you know

ancient peoples migrating to different parts of the globe. And it doesn't change your characteristics as a human being in the core of a

person. So it's, it's absolutely ridiculous to look at somebody's race and say that race is more

likely to commit crimes. Even if statistics show it, a lot more goes into statistics than the color of one's skin

I am here to tell you, I'm not a scientist, I'm not a statistician, but I'm here to tell you that the pigment of one's skin does not determine the

person they are. Period. End of sentence. End of story. It's ludicrous when she says it

it's ludicrous when white supremacists say it, it's ludicrous when anybody says it. We are all fellow human beings

So I find those comments deplorable, whether they come from her or they come from someone else
