My child’s go-to drink when he’s feeling under the weather 🤍
Cold and cough season is here, and little ones often don’t feel like drinking enough water. This warm, spiced apple drink is a gentle and soothing way to keep your child hydrated during flu or fever. It helps calm a congested throat and ease a blocked nose.
Apple is naturally rich in Vitamin C. When combined with ginger and cinnamon, it becomes a comforting immunity-supporting drink. You may even notice quick relief — and the best part is, kids actually enjoy the taste!
How to prepare:
Add 60 ml water to a pan.
Add a small stick of cinnamon and a ½-inch piece of ginger.
Boil until the liquid reduces to about 30 ml.
Grate ½ an apple, add a little water, blend, and strain. (You’ll get around 20 ml juice.)
Mix the fresh apple juice with the warm spiced water.
Serve warm (not hot) — offering it with a straw often makes it more appealing for kids.
