0:02
hi it's lindsy Diane from Dian decor.com
0:04
in this video we're going to talk all
0:07
about fancy serveware items that you can
0:10
use to style your Buffet tables now when
0:13
it comes to hosting the essentials come
0:15
first your plates your glasses your um
0:20
utensils you want to handle all of your
0:23
Basics first that are going to make your
0:25
Gathering functional and then after that
0:30
style it up and get fancy with a few
0:33
showstopper display pieces and that's
0:36
what this video is all about these are
0:38
by no means musthave items they're just
0:41
fancy extras that you can use to really
0:45
style up your buffet table so let's get
0:49
one number one is teacup and saucer
0:53
display STS now if you are doing a
0:57
brunch where you want to serve coffee
1:01
and you have usually we would have a
1:02
smaller group if we're going to do
1:04
something like that if you want to do a
1:06
small gathering where you have your
1:08
using your real China or your real cups
1:11
go ahead and get a teacup and saucer
1:14
display stand this is not only going to
1:17
make efficient use of the space on your
1:20
table but it's just a really beautiful
1:22
display so again if you're doing like a
1:25
brunch or maybe you're doing high tea
1:27
this is great for that also if you're
1:30
serving a dinner party and you're
1:33
sticking to the traditional etiquette
1:35
where you serve coffee after dessert
1:38
this is also another really great option
1:40
they come in a lot of different finishes
1:43
a lot of them are either gold or silver
1:46
um you can find some acrylic ones as
1:48
well they're inexpensive and they're a
1:50
great way to not only transfer your
1:52
items to the table but you're able to
1:55
keep them together without taking up too
1:58
much space and having to set out every
2:00
single cup and saucer together along
2:02
your table so if you want a more buffet
2:07
style uh high tea or a buffet style
2:11
brunch go for a teacup and saucer stand
2:15
next up our tiered serveware displays so
2:20
these are either tiered trays or tiered
2:23
bowls that are all connected together
2:25
with a frame usually you have of course
2:28
the largest one on the bottom
2:30
these are really great sometimes they
2:32
have a larger bowl at the top and a
2:34
smaller bowl at the bottom meant for
2:36
chips and dip or you may have a three
2:38
tier stand and you can really play with
2:40
the items that you put in there so let's
2:42
say you have three tiers of bowls a
2:45
large bowl a medium a small bowl you
2:47
could do like chips pretzels peanuts or
2:51
if you had um fruit you could do you
2:54
know watermelon slices and then
2:56
strawberries and then blueberries or
2:58
something like that so these are really
3:00
great again they keep everything
3:02
together things that you're meant to
3:04
serve together you can put in these
3:06
tiered displays and they also are much
3:10
better at taking advantage of the
3:12
vertical space on your buffet table so
3:15
you don't have to have everything side
3:17
by side by side taking up a lot of room
3:19
whether it's on a table or maybe on your
3:21
kitchen counter or your kitchen kitchen
3:23
island you can run out of space really
3:25
quickly and having the tier displays
3:28
means that you have a taller stands and
3:30
you can take advantage of that vertical
3:33
space they're again inexpensive you're
3:36
going to find these under $30 they have
3:38
a ton of them on Amazon and they're a
3:41
great way to start to Cluster some of
3:43
your appetizers or fruit displays
3:46
together glass water pictures and caffes
3:50
are a great way to elevate your
3:53
beverages at your event so instead of
3:56
just having bottles of soda or bottles
3:58
of punch out you can use different
4:01
little cffs whether you want to do
4:03
juices or sodas you can um have the ones
4:07
that will allow you to infuse fruit and
4:10
herbs inside of your water so if you
4:12
wanted to do like a cucumber mint water
4:14
you could do that just make sure that
4:17
the um the picture that you're using
4:19
really is set up as a diffuser so you
4:23
either want one that has a core in the
4:25
center where you can put your fruit or
4:27
herbs inside of it and it all allows the
4:30
water to get to it but you don't have
4:31
lots of bits floating around so that
4:33
when you go to pour um people aren't
4:35
getting chunks of stuff into their glass
4:38
alternatively they have ones that have
4:40
sort of sifter Tops on them so it's a
4:43
larger picture everything's kind of
4:44
floating together but at the top there's
4:46
a sifter sort of area and it will stop
4:50
the large chunks of fruit or herbs from
4:53
going into the drinks you can of course
4:57
always use a regular pitcher soot lot of
4:59
people use the cffs if they want to do
5:01
mimosas or Champagnes and they may have
5:03
Cranberries or blueberries that you
5:05
intend to come out with the juice that's
5:07
fine just know where you're going with
5:09
it before you choose Your Vessel but
5:12
this is a great way to elevate your
5:14
beverage station if you don't want to
5:16
just rely on having a bunch of juice
5:18
cans and soda cans and plastic water
5:21
bottles this makes for a very elegant
5:24
display and they are very affordable
5:26
Taco Stand holders are a really
5:30
to display items that you want people to
5:33
be able to pick up easily one by one so
5:35
you don't of course have to have tacos
5:38
they're meant for it but you don't have
5:40
to be using tacos you could do egg rolls
5:42
or spring rolls or kebabs is another
5:45
great thing to display on these sort of
5:47
accordion stands it will allow guests to
5:51
easily pick up just one single item
5:54
without necessarily having to stack them
5:56
all on top you may have something that's
5:58
a little bit delicate you don't want to
6:00
just pile them all into one big pile on
6:02
top of a tray instead you can use these
6:05
little taco shell holders and they will
6:09
work great for a multitude of items dut
6:12
stands are another one of those items
6:15
that will help you take advantage of the
6:17
vertical space instead of having to be
6:20
spread out so if you think okay I have
6:23
two dozen donuts or three dozen donuts
6:25
that I want to offer to my guests and
6:29
you have these big giant boxes they're
6:30
going to take up a lot of room and
6:32
moreover people are going to have to
6:34
keep opening the boxes and lifting them
6:36
to sift through to see what they want
6:38
either that or you're going to be
6:39
stacking assorted Donuts into a longer
6:42
tray which is going to take up space on
6:44
your buffet table instead you can go for
6:46
some of these cool little doughnut
6:47
stands they're almost like little Peg
6:49
boards and you can put like donuts on a
6:52
little um kind of it I guess on a
6:55
on a little pole and uh people can pull
6:58
off the ones they want this would also
7:00
work great for bagels as well if you're
7:02
doing a brunch situation acrylic Buffet
7:06
risers are great they'll run you
7:08
anywhere between $25 and $50 these are
7:12
essentially just elevated trays so
7:16
unlike the tiered tray where you're
7:17
going to have multiple levels these are
7:21
really just meant to elevate a platter
7:24
off of the tabletop surface so reasons
7:28
why this is good you can use these
7:32
elevated risers to put desserts or
7:36
appetizers on and then utilize the space
7:39
below them you can set napkins you can
7:41
set utensils it just helps you maximize
7:44
space and it just looks really pretty
7:46
the acrylic displays are nice and sleek
7:49
and modern of course you can find them
7:51
in other finishes as well but they are a
7:54
great addition to any Gathering you can
7:58
set them up the night before they will
8:00
help you sort of get ready ahead of time
8:03
you can have a plan for where you want
8:05
certain things around your kitchen or
8:08
around your table or wherever you're
8:10
setting up and you can kind of Mark them
8:12
the night before if you'd like and you
8:13
say Okay cupcakes are going here and
8:15
Tarts are going here and cookies are
8:17
going here and it just makes the setup
8:21
really easy and really functional if you
8:24
want something really fancy to display
8:27
your desserts consider getting a lighted
8:30
cupcake tower now these are just very
8:34
cool they come with LED lights attached
8:36
to them so that each of the little
8:39
acrylic levels are lit up and just
8:42
cupcake towers in general are a really
8:44
great way to go because usually if
8:46
you're going for a cupcake uh offering
8:50
instead of cake there's lots of cupcakes
8:52
right so you might have a sheet cake
8:54
that only takes up but so much room but
8:56
when you're talking about cupcakes and
8:58
you're talking about 24 or or 48
8:59
cupcakes they can really start to eat up
9:02
space very quickly and so having them in
9:04
this vertical Tower is a great option
9:07
and they are just they're very cool they
9:09
come in a lot of different shapes so a
9:10
lot of them will make a little pyramid
9:13
for you or you can have a circular tower
9:15
that makes it look like it's almost a
9:17
layer cake but for sure check out the
9:19
ones that are lit up with LEDs if you
9:22
want to make an extra Splash condiment
9:25
caddies are a fantastic way to elevate
9:29
your barbecue or any other uh serving
9:32
where you have lots of little condiments
9:34
or toppings for your food so if you have
9:39
like a dessert or like an ice cream bar
9:43
you could put all of your little
9:44
strawberries and uh fruit and gummy
9:47
bears and things like that in these
9:48
little uh condiment caddies or
9:51
alternatively you can also use them for
9:54
things like um pickles and peppers and
9:58
onions if people are putting together
10:00
maybe tacos or um burgers or hot dogs
10:06
things like that at a barbecue where
10:08
they're looking for all these little
10:09
individual toppings these are a great
10:11
way to kind of keep everything together
10:13
you don't have to have the jars out
10:15
right because that kind of takes away
10:17
from the aesthetic having those like you
10:19
know claen pickle jars all over the
10:22
place or your mustard containers or your
10:26
ketchup or whatever you have you can put
10:29
them in these nice beautiful acrylic
10:33
displays and you can have just usually
10:35
they have five or six compartments so
10:38
that you can have different items lots
10:40
of them will actually sit in into like a
10:43
little basket where you have ice on the
10:46
bottom so that it will keep those
10:48
condiments cool and fresh for you if
10:50
you're using these outside or if you
10:52
need to have them out on the table for a
10:53
long period of time it will keep
10:55
everything nice and cool and fresh these
10:57
are really inexpensive you can find them
10:59
around5 or $20 so think about using some
11:03
of these items next time if you want to
11:05
get rid of some of the bottle clutter
11:07
that you may have out whenever you do
11:09
barbecues or just hosting events if you
11:12
are not into having your food out on a
11:15
Sherie board shakery boards are very
11:18
popular but people are still very germ
11:20
conscious nowadays so the alternative to
11:24
that is to have appetizer cups now these
11:27
are little cups that are pre- prepared
11:29
you can have little skewers of fruit or
11:32
olives and cheese or meat and cheese and
11:35
have them in individual cups that people
11:37
can just pick up and take with them so
11:40
they are easy you don't have to worry
11:42
about people having to uh fumble around
11:45
with tongs and spoons and touching stuff
11:48
and not knowing what goes where or
11:50
what's supposed to be paired with what
11:52
you can make it easy for everyone and
11:54
put together little skewers together and
11:56
place them inside of the appetizer cups
11:59
and you can just have them on a tray
12:01
where people can pick them up and grab
12:03
them and go on about their way mingling
12:04
with other guests they are a very very
12:08
cool option before this is something
12:10
that you would only really see in
12:12
catering but you can buy all of these
12:14
things now on Amazon as a regular
12:16
consumer you don't have to necessarily
12:19
buy them in packs of a 100 or 200 like
12:21
you would at the restaurant supply store
12:23
now you can buy them online on Amazon
12:26
usually um you would get around 50 cups
12:30
for $10 to $20 lots of times the cups
12:34
come with skewers as well but just look
12:36
around they're relatively affordable and
12:40
they're a great alternative to having a
12:42
shuder board next up is a cone display
12:45
stand now traditionally these are used
12:48
for ice cream cones but frankly I feel
12:52
like this option is really limited
12:55
because you know how long are you really
12:56
going to have ice cream just sitting out
12:59
on a little acrylic stand you know
13:00
they're GNA melt the the shelf life of
13:02
this display is very limited but what
13:06
you could use them for is in conjunction
13:09
with the appetizer cones and cups that
13:12
we spoke about in the last section so a
13:15
lot of those appetizer Cups and Cones
13:17
will fit perfectly inside of an ice
13:20
cream cone display stand so instead of
13:23
just having them flat on the table you
13:25
can Elevate them and Slot them into
13:28
these little uh cone display stands and
13:30
have a beautiful look for your
13:33
appetizers next up is fancy paper plates
13:37
now the options that are online now are
13:40
far superior to anything that you're
13:42
going to find in the grocery store or in
13:44
the party store now of course uh Party
13:47
City used to be the best option but they
13:50
are unfortunately going out of business
13:52
but they used to have themed plates for
13:54
everything but nowadays you can go on
13:56
Amazon and find the same themed plates a
13:59
larger selection a better price at
14:01
Amazon and of course if you go to the
14:04
grocery store you're going to see like
14:05
the Dixie plates and while they may have
14:07
little flowers on them here and there
14:09
they're not like a a high-end pattern
14:13
I'm talking about paper plates that will
14:15
make you think that they are real plates
14:17
they will look like real pieces of China
14:19
I'm going to show a few on the screen
14:21
here Kate Aspen is a really popular
14:24
brand for this they are known for their
14:26
really beautiful prints and these are
14:30
well worth the investment if you are
14:32
thinking about doing like a dinner party
14:34
maybe you have 10 or 12 guests these are
14:37
worth it you will probably get around 20
14:40
plates for about $10 to
14:43
$15 they're good if you want to go
14:45
outside with them so if you are doing
14:49
dinner outside on your patio and you
14:51
don't necessarily want to be bringing
14:53
your nice China outside and you don't
14:56
want the cheapest of cheap paper plates
14:58
either you want to have a nice pretty
15:00
elegant display especially if you're
15:02
doing like a baby shower or something
15:03
like that you want to have something
15:05
nice to look at and these are the
15:08
perfect solution I haven't seen any
15:10
place else where you can find them
15:11
locally necessarily um but you can find
15:15
them on Amazon and there are a few other
15:17
sites where you can buy them online I
15:19
will leave them Linked In the
15:20
description box below next up are cake
15:23
pop display stands now these are very
15:26
popular you see them all over the place
15:28
but not all are created equal usually
15:31
the ones that I see are the cheaper
15:33
cardboard ones look for some nice cake
15:37
poop display stands this will really
15:39
help elevate your dessert table it will
15:42
save space of course and it's it's hard
15:45
to display the Cake Pops I mean you can
15:48
go the route of using like a floral foam
15:51
and kind of sticking them in there or
15:53
you can use the cardboard displays but
15:56
the nice acrylic ones the teered acrylic
15:59
stands are probably the best and they
16:01
are relatively inexpensive you can find
16:04
these for under $30 on Amazon and they
16:09
will just give you a nice way to
16:12
compactly display a bunch of cake pops
16:16
that your guest can easily pick up and
16:18
enjoy we're almost at the end here the
16:20
next thing that I want to share with you
16:22
are disposable cocktail
16:25
glasses usually when we have large
16:28
numbers of people in our home we may not
16:31
have enough drink wear especially
16:33
specialty drink wear like cocktail
16:35
glasses to go around so you could pick
16:38
up some cheap little martini glasses at
16:40
Dollar Tree or Dollar General but they
16:42
are much much nicer options online
16:46
especially on Amazon you can find really
16:49
really gorgeous designs that will make
16:52
you look twice and think is this plastic
16:54
or is this glass um you can find martini
16:58
glasses that you can use not only for
17:01
drinks but you could put skewers in them
17:03
if you want to serve appetizers out of
17:05
them or little um you know fruit dessert
17:08
kebabs out of them you can do that they
17:11
of course have stemless champagne
17:13
glasses there are lots of different
17:15
options on Amazon for disposable
17:19
cocktail glasses so think about looking
17:22
for something special especially if
17:24
you're going to have a signature drink
17:26
with your party or your then think about
17:30
having a nice signature glass go with it
17:32
that everybody can kind of pick up and
17:35
use and it's not a red Solo cup and it's
17:38
not a super super cheap cloudy kind of
17:41
Dollar Tree Glass these are a little bit
17:43
more elevated and they will give your
17:45
event in your table a really nice look
17:48
you can get these in a set of like 24
17:52
from $10 to $20 or so and last but not
17:55
least our disposable dessert cups the
17:58
these are really great especially if you
18:00
want people to be able to take something
18:02
on their way out the door they're great
18:04
for putting just a little piece of cake
18:06
in there you can top it with whipped
18:08
cream or top it with some berries you
18:10
can do yogurt parfaits a lot of them
18:13
come with little spoons and Lids so they
18:16
really are designed to one keep your
18:18
food fresh and covered so if you have
18:21
them out on the display stand you don't
18:22
have to worry about stuff blowing into
18:24
them if they're outside or people
18:26
coughing on them and things like that
18:28
they are really are a little
18:30
self-contained kind of to go containers
18:33
but also people can just walk around the
18:34
party with them in hand and it's really
18:37
easy to just handle and then they can
18:39
Trash them when they're done again they
18:41
can take them to go just because they're
18:43
dessert cups doesn't mean you can't use
18:45
them for other things as well of course
18:47
you can put other items in there I would
18:49
just check the temperature rating on
18:50
some of these things if you want to put
18:52
hot items in there but otherwise they're
18:55
a really pretty display that nice clear
18:59
acrylic ones or just look nice and sleek
19:02
and modern and will absolutely upgrade
19:04
the look of your buffet table that's it
19:07
for this video I hope you found it
19:09
helpful I will leave links to all of the
19:11
items featured in this video in the
19:13
description box below don't forget to

19:18
about home entertaining ideas over there

I'll see you in the next one bye
