Woodturning with a Unique technique - Black Locust BURL

This super vibrant and colourful hollow form was crafted from black locust burl and epoxy resin. To achieve such distinct color separation, a special technique was applied to prevent the various colors from blending into a single solid hue. Once the resin was fully cured, the blank was shaped on my woodturning lathe. It was then sanded to a high grit and coated with several layers of clear gloss lacquer for extra protection and to enhance the vibrancy of the colors.
