Woodturning: Black Locust Challenge

Apr 14, 2025

Woodturning this incredible black locust urn with the help of some blue epoxy resin. The wood has been carefully prepared and removed all lose parts and barks then was dried in the oven to make sure the moisture content is suitable to work with resin. Mixed up some deep pour epoxy resin and enhanced it with some blue mica metallic powder for incredible effects. Turned to shape on my woodturning lathe and finished with several layers of clear lacquer.
