Unlocking the Hidden Beauty of Australian Mallee Burl

In this video, I create a stunning hybrid goblet using beautiful Australian mallee burl and deep pour epoxy resin. The natural burl grain is paired with vibrant resin, blending from rich blue to shimmering gold to create a truly one-of-a-kind design. Every piece is carefully turned on the lathe to reveal the incredible character and figure hidden within the wood. To complete the project, the goblet is finished with multiple coats of clear gloss lacquer, enhancing the colours and grain while providing a durable, mirror-like finish.
