Woodturning - A Risky Experimental Project (NO RESIN)

0 views Aug 15, 2025

In this week’s woodturning video, I will take a little break from using epoxy resin and turn an Australian mallee burl wood into something very unique. After carefully mounting the wood onto the lathe using my homemade jig it was time to hollow the inside of the bowl. Since I would not have a flat surface at the bottom of the bowl I went and turned 3 tiny feet to sit on. There were dyed black to give better contrast between the feet and top. Finished with mineral oil.
