This AutoCAD Area Text Updates Itself!

Manually typing room areas in AutoCAD creates a serious problem. When the room boundary changes, the text stays the same and displays an incorrect value. Use the FIELD command to link the area label directly to a closed polyline. After modifying the boundary, run REGEN and the area value updates from the linked geometry.
