Stop Editing AutoCAD Text One Line at a Time
Aug 10, 2026
Are your AutoCAD notes made from dozens of separate single-line text objects?
Editing, moving, and formatting each line individually wastes time. Use the TXT2MTXT command to combine selected text objects into one editable multiline text object.
Recommended settings:
Combine into a Single MText
Sort Top-Down
Word Wrap
Command sequence:
TXT2MTXT → Settings → Select Text Objects → Enter
The result is one organized MText object that can be edited and formatted from a single text editor.
