Place Objects at Equal Spacing with AutoCAD MEASURE
Sep 4, 2026
Still placing objects one by one along a wall in AutoCAD?
The AutoCAD MEASURE command places a block at equal distances along a line or polyline in one step — perfect for columns, windows, fixtures, or parking along a wall. In this video we space objects every 200 cm.
In this video, you'll learn:
• How to set the spacing to 200 cm
• How to place objects manually with COPY and align, one by one
• How to use MEASURE to place all objects at once with equal spacing
• How the insertion point and rotation follow the line
Manual workflow:
Copy → Align → Repeat for every object
Faster workflow:
AutoCAD MEASURE → Pick Line → Set Spacing
This video uses AutoCAD 2021 with centimeters as the drawing unit.
If this saved you time, subscribe for a new command every day.
