Place Blocks Evenly Along Any AutoCAD Curve!
Aug 9, 2026
Still copying and positioning trees, lights, or other blocks manually along a curved path in AutoCAD?
Use the DIVIDE command with the Block option to place blocks at equal intervals along a line, arc, spline, circle, or polyline.
Command sequence:
DIVIDE → Select Path → Block → Enter Block Name → Align Yes → Enter Number of Segments
Important:
DIVIDE does not physically break the selected path. It creates equal division locations and inserts blocks at the internal points.
For example:
10 equal segments create 9 internal block locations.
