Place AutoCAD Doors and Windows Faster with YQArch
Aug 27, 2026
Place AutoCAD doors and windows directly on architectural walls using the YQArch plugin.
In this video, the drawing units, opening widths, pier distances, and placement settings were configured before recording. The required door and window styles are selected from the YQArch style libraries and placed directly on the prepared walls.
Door workflow:
YQArch AD → Choose Door Style → Select Wall → Choose Position and Opening Direction
Window workflow:
YQArch WD → Choose Window Style → Select Wall → Choose Position
The AD command is used to select and place door styles on walls. The WD command provides the same type of workflow for window styles.
This is a YQArch plugin workflow, not a native AutoCAD command. Door and window styles, dialog boxes, command prompts, and placement options may vary depending on the installed YQArch version and language settings.
This video uses:
AutoCAD 2021
