Birchbox Man Unboxing (September 2016)

Hey you guys, so I just got my second Birchbox Man box

If you missed my first unboxing of Birchbox Man, you can check it out here. I kind of give an overview of what Birchbox is and the breakdown of the price

But I'm not going to waste your time going over it again, so let's get started. So same as last month, it kind of slides out like a drawer

And this month's theme is Make It Happen. So it's kind of an ode to the end of summer

but telling you that it's not too late to follow through with a barbecue or whatever your summer plans are

Here's what the box looks like. Not sure what the accessory is this time. I saw they sent around an email where you could pick one, but I think I missed the deadline

So I have no idea what I got. It almost looks like a t-shirt. So it's just a gray t-shirt. The brand is Alternative Earth

Really soft, nice quality. So that's a nice little addition. So let's see. The first product in here is a cleansing foam conditioner by Arnco, I think that is. Let's smell it

Whoa! Mmm. Yeah, I figured that would happen. Smells good though. That doesn't look suspicious at all. Wouldn't be the first time

Next up we have Double Duty Face Moisturizer by Jack Black. No relation, I don't think, to the comedian

Probably not. He doesn't strike me as the face moisturizer type. Doesn't have a scent on it, but it says blue algae extract and sea parsley

Feels a lot like paint. Like it's like a very paint light texture. Smells really good

It kind of smells very perfumey in a way. It reminds me of sunscreen or another type of oily face product

Not really my favorite. I tend to avoid oily products And to help get that off my face this is an oil control face wash by Clinique for Men This is actually a brand that I heard of It doesn really have too much of a scent It very neutral scented which I guess may be a good thing

Maybe some guys don't like scent. I like things that have some sort of freshness, you know, some kind of refreshing aspect in

the morning. And lastly in this box is Morning Shift Body Bar by Hudson Made, New York

An infusion of rosemary, peppermint, and eucalyptus. Now, if you know me, I love soaps

I don't know, it's a little bit of an odd scent. I'm not a huge rosemary fan, so maybe that's what's throwing me off

Or maybe it's the conditioner or face wash or moisturizer also on my hands

Oh, okay, wow. Definitely open this up before you write it off

It smells really good. It's almost like a toothpaste-y mouthwash type smell, but it definitely smells fresh

and clean, unlike the face wash. That's kind of the scent I was looking for with the face wash

So that's it for this box. I feel like it seemed like it was a little less than normal

I don't know, I feel like last time I got one more product, maybe not, I could be wrong

So I'm going to continue with this subscription just because I think the products are pretty

cool and it is a bit pricey for what you get, but it's a reputable brand and it's pretty

good products. So I'm happy overall. I just kind of wish I would throw in at least one other item in there or at least a full

size soap versus like a little travel size one. So there you go

That was my September Birchbox Man box. I think it's September, maybe August. I don't know

I think my schedule is a little bit off because I sign up so late in July. So I think I get the September box a week early or I get the August box really late
