Hey, what's up you guys? So I just downloaded my Humble Monthly Bundle for August
0:04
If you're not familiar with Humble Bundle, they do a monthly selection of games for $12
0:10
and 5% of that actually goes to a charity. This month's charity is Make-A-Wish Foundation
0:14
and it's usually a good selection of games. There's usually kind of one high-profile game
0:18
and then a bunch of smaller games from indie developers. So it's a really good cause. I've
0:23
been subscribed about three months now. Last month, in my opinion, kind of sucked
0:28
But based on this list of games for this month, I'm actually pretty impressed
0:32
So I'm going to try out these games for the very first time for you guys today
0:36
Just kind of the first level of each game. See what I think of them and give you my first impressions
0:39
So let's get started. So this first game is called The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
0:44
I know nothing about the series. I've heard of it before, but I have no idea what it's about
0:48
So it's kind of like a RPG type game, maybe? Looks very World of Warcraft
0:52
Let's see. Umbrellist? What is it? Umbrellist? I'm going to go with Protector because I'm basic
0:57
I need a little background because I know nothing about this game. Okay, we're skipping
1:02
Oh god, this, like, this give me RuneScape feels all the way. Oh, wait, I'm being attacked already
1:07
Okay. That's the only game like this I ever played. I was not big on the whole RPG thing
1:11
That was too easy. Ooh. Particle effects, y'all. Oh, okay. Yeah, just a swarm of, like, 12 werewolves just attacked me
1:21
That's something you throw your player into the very beginning of a game. Oh, and I defeat them all. How realistic
1:26
Oh, apparently the werewolves had a camp. Oh, more. Okay. What is this stuff? Oh, wait, the birds! What can I do with the birds? They fly away from me every time I try to hit them
1:34
I guess probably I should have played other games from this series before this one. Oh my god, there's like werewolves every freaking five steps
1:40
Oh, they're called dread wolves. My bad. My bad. I'm not getting anywhere. Just werewolves
1:45
What? Domovoi? What is the Domovoi? Can I kill it? Oh, I'm supposed to kill it. Okay
1:50
I thought it was like a nice guy. Like, he's literally just running away from us. Why would we... He's gonna jump off and kill us! Oh no! No! Aww
1:57
Okay so an entire freaking army is attacking me now versus werewolves
2:01
Okay where am I supposed to go? That's the thing about these games with quests, they don't really lead you in a clear direction
2:06
You literally are just following paths constantly. Oh okay some like golem-like creatures
2:11
Lady golems. Wait, is Van Helsing not a character? Is that not who I am
2:17
Who am I? I am so confused. Oh a dog, can I kill it? I just know in some games you kill the dogs and like everyone in the town hates you
2:23
Don't want to be that guy. Okay, so now I apparently have to go find somebody else in another village
2:28
Yeah this just isn my type of game I know it for some people but next Okay so this one is apparently the Jackbox Party Pack 2 I actually have the very first one of this on my PlayStation 4 So I going to play the only single game here which is kind of sad
2:43
Okay, so I just got to go to this website on my phone
2:48
Whoa, whoa, what am I doing? What am I doing? I like the pixel art of this
2:54
Great. Just what I want to play after a long day's work. Oh wait, I'm smashing things on my desk. Don't smash the phone, don't smash the computer, don't smash the plant
3:03
Picture. Sure, what is happening? Great! You smashed that picture of Trevor's family
3:09
Oh, Trevor used to work at this desk, but he doesn't need that picture anymore because he died
3:15
Wow. Okay, if there isn't a yellow wire present, cut the fourth wire. Okay, fourth wire
3:21
I think I have to scroll down. That's not the way. Whoa, wait, what? Okay. I only read the first rule, so I guess I should have read them all
3:29
Oh my god, do I have to do the whole intro again? What is this? He doesn't need that picture anymore because, uh, he died
3:35
Let's see. Okay, cut the first wire if it's red. Cut the second wire if it's yellow
3:41
Cut the third wire if it's black. What? oh that was easy cut all wires next to wire three cut the second wire um second wire one
3:57
oh oh i guess one wasn't next to got it i assume like all wires like
4:04
got it do not make me do that tutorial again i swear to god okay so i'm starting over so i am
4:10
done with this game i imagine i have a ton of friends right now this would be a ton of fun but
4:14
by myself, no. Next! Okay, so this game is called Poi. I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited about
4:20
this. I've never heard of it before, but I watched a little teaser video on the Humble Bundle page
4:25
and this actually seems like my perfect type of game. Oh, this feels very Legend of Zelda
4:31
Nintendo 64-ish. Even the music, right? It's totally, this totally feels like a rip-off of
4:38
Legend of Zelda. But I love it. I have no purpose for collecting these coins, but..
4:44
That's what you do in games, right? You just constantly collect coins no matter how pointless
4:48
they seem? Ah. Junior Explorer. Great. This reminds me of, like, I swear I had a Mega Man
4:57
game for Nintendo 64 where you kind of, like, helped an old man with his, like, spaceship
5:02
What game is that If you guys know let me know in the comments below because I swear I haven been able to find that game ever since I played it Oh he lost all his Explorer medallions He trying to find them That a good purpose to play a game right These graphics though Alright I have no idea what the rest of the game is like but I love it
5:18
I can't go- ooh, no! Oh, that's sad. Oh well, I love this game. I'm gonna return to this immediately after filming this video
5:27
Next! Okay, so this game is called Planet of the Eyes. I have no idea what this is
5:31
please tell me I can use controller. I cannot use controller. That's super disappointing. Really
5:36
guys? Really? Okay, literally for a guy with one arm, this game is so difficult to play. Okay
5:42
this guy with this super serious tone is talking to me while I'm jumping over rocks. The mechanics
5:47
of this game are really weird. Oh, I just died. Okay. Okay, so this ball is going to follow me
5:51
What do I do? What do I do? What? Okay, now seriously, I'm going to run. I'm going to run
5:57
this way. I'm going to run away from the ball. Run away from the ball now. Oh wait, I did it, I think. Literally. So I can't touch balls. Balls are bad. Spikes are bad
6:11
Opening the door to some kind of vault. Okay, honestly, this game feels like it's probably a
6:16
ton of fun. I just haven't gotten anywhere exciting yet. But the fact that I can't rearrange the
6:19
controls and I have to literally stretch my fingers across the keyboard, because if you didn't know
6:23
I have one arm and I can't play this game. So I was gonna have to say next. Sorry. Okay, next up
6:29
we have a game called Starward Rogue. To be honest, this game was the one that I was least
6:34
looking forward to, just based on the description. It just kind of seems like another one of those space fighting game, which there's like a billion of them. There's nothing really unique about them
6:41
But one thing is, it has controller support. Oh my god, you guys. Oh, this does not look like what
6:49
I expected it to look like. Okay, I was completely wrong. This actually seems like a pretty fun game
6:55
digging the music. It's very Binding of Isaac-y from my first impressions of this game. The control
7:02
scheme is very, very similar to Binding of Isaac too, to be honest. Golden Fragment. What is the
7:07
Golden Fragment? I just died again. Now I'm realizing that it's just kind of like a bad take
7:14
on another game, which is why I enjoyed it, which is kind of sad. So next. Okay, so next up we have
7:19
a game called Disc Room. This is the humble original game for the month. Each month they
7:25
kind of release their own I guess their own game it kind of is work with other
7:28
independent studios and they kind of make a game exclusively for the humble
7:32
bundle okay so I think I'm running away from these spinny spiky things can I
7:36
shoot wait whoa slow motion what okay I think I just supposed to avoid these spinny things so it seems like another binding of Isaac type game which I don know why they would include two games that
7:49
are very similar except it doesn't seem like I can actually shoot anything oh what I have a little
7:54
bit more control because I can kind of predict the paths of things that last game was just freaking
7:58
crazy but if I just avoid their paths I can just kind of stay oh no no okay so I'm really bad at
8:05
this, but honestly, this is a pretty fun game, and I can see myself returning to this when
8:08
I get bored and just want a quick casual game. This seems like a really good go-to game
8:12
So yeah, thumbs up. Next! And lastly, we have the mother of all games, the main game for this bundle, which is Black
8:19
Ops 3 Multiplayer Online Mode. To be honest, I haven't played a Call of Duty game since, like, whatever was the last one
8:26
on Xbox 360. I'm going to be terrible, but I'm excited. And I use a controller, which I'm pretty sure most people who play these games use mouse
8:33
keyboard and they're freaking amazing at it but i have one arm again so i use a controller okay
8:41
oh this is beautiful wow i'm gonna suck so hard i told you is there not a tutorial or anything is
8:47
that that's the bad thing about just being thrown right in the multiplayer you don't get any kind of practice come on i gotta get at least one kill in this game like that guy right there i just do
8:56
a grenade at him oh that was just a flash bang oh my god i'm gonna die can you see me this is
9:00
way too hard for me. I just want to auto-lock on enemies and like that be that. I killed someone
9:06
Oh my god! Yay! ! Die! Die! Die! Die! ! Die! Oh! This is intense y'all. My god my guys are
9:12
like running on the walls. Oh my god that's so fun. We won! Oh my god we won you guys! I know it was
9:19
all thanks to me. No no it wasn't. Okay so this isn't my type of game but I appreciate it and this
9:25
game is pretty cool. I just wish there was kind of some kind of training for people like me who
9:29
have never played a Call of Duty game before, or at least on PC. Oh yeah, I was the worst person on
9:34
my team, but we still won. Yeah! Well, that was this month's Humble Monthly Bundle. I think I'm
9:40
pretty impressed with this selection of games, even though most of them I sucked at, and these
9:43
aren't really my type of games. I definitely appreciate that they put a good variety of types
9:47
of games in there, and I'll definitely be returning to a ton of them, actually. So I'm excited to play
9:52
these games throughout the month. If you're interested in the Humble Monthly Bundle, I put a link down in the description below. You can check it out and subscribe for September. I think the
9:59
September game is actually pretty cool. Let me know which of these is your favorite, and have you ever bought a Humble Bundle before? Have you got anything good? Let me know. Thank you so much for
10:06
and I'll see you in my next video. Dye day? Oh, that's me. That was just the kill cam. Wow
