Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today, we reflect on the day’s readings taken from the Book of Genesis (Genesis 15:1-12,17-18) and the Gospel according to Saint Matthew (Matthew 7:15-20). These passages invite us to trust in God’s promises and to be vigilant against false prophets. First Reading (Genesis 15:1-12,17-18): In today’s reading from Genesis, God renews His covenant with Abram, assuring him that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Abram trusts in God’s promise despite the challenges, and God seals this covenant with an everlasting sign. This passage teaches us to trust God’s promises even when their fulfillment is not immediately visible. God’s covenant is faithful and secure, and He is always present to guide and protect His children. Gospel (Matthew 7:15-20): In today’s Gospel, Jesus warns us to beware of false prophets who come disguised as sheep but inwardly are ravenous wolves. He invites us to discern them by their fruits, for “by their fruits you will know them.” This warning calls us to be watchful and wise so that we are not deceived. This passage reminds us that the authenticity of faith is shown in concrete actions. We are called to bear good fruit in our lives, a result of a genuine relationship with God. Reflection and Call to Conversion Today’s readings invite us to trust in God’s faithfulness and to be attentive and wise in our spiritual journey. May we recognize God’s true voice and bear fruits of justice and love. May these passages inspire your day and strengthen your faith! Share in the comments how you have lived trust in God’s promises and cared for your faith. 📖 Readings of the Day: First Reading: Genesis 15:1-12,17-18 Gospel: Matthew 7:15-20
