It's a power bank! It's a camping light! No, it's a photo spot! Actually, the Wuben F5 Power Bank Camping Light is all three! Tech expert and photographer Dave Taylor checks out the Wuben F5 and finds that its 5200mAh battery and up-to 500 lumen light combine to make this a terrific addition for anyone's backpack, camping gear, or photo kit.

A camping light with a secret identity is a power bank
0:03
Let's check it out. Dave Taylor here, and I'm checking out this
0:14
This is the Wobin F5 Powerbank Camping Light. What I'm most excited about, though, is it's also a photo light
0:22
Let me show you what I mean. Let's actually unbox it and see what's in the box
0:27
So, don't try this at home. unless you really want to and you want to be careful
0:33
So, unboxing it. Let's see what's inside. Here it is. Basically, the whole unit is right there
0:41
Super simple, super straightforward. You can see it's 3.3 by 3.1 inches by 1.1 inch thick
0:49
It's 7 ounces, so it's a little weighty. But that's because there's a lot of battery inside
0:55
Now, on the back, you can immediately see there's a ring, which gives me the ability to stand it at different angles
1:02
But it's also magnetic. So I could actually also just like stick it on the side on a metal pole
1:08
or on a fridge or on a stand if I'm in a photo studio or whatever, right
1:13
A tent pole works too. So let's actually light this thing up
1:17
So let me just give you a quick tour. On one side, there are two covered plugs USBC and USBA
1:26
and you can use those obviously to charge it, which is important
1:30
but you can also use those to charge other devices. If you're out camping and you're running low on battery, this is a great device
1:40
Now, there are two holes in the corner that give you the ability to put a lanyard on it
1:45
We'll look in the box and see if there's one in here. There's a quarter inch thread, which is something that I can then put this on a stand
1:54
Right. So now you can see how this could work really well in my photo studio I going to take it back off however And then on let see this side there are four LEDs that show me presumably battery status
2:09
And then the main controls are all on this side. And there's a plus and a minus and a W
2:16
So let's push the W, and it lights up. And here's what's fun is that there's all these various button pushes
2:23
So if I push and hold, let's see, so on and off, I think double push
2:30
There we go. That changes the temperature. So it has three different temperatures
2:35
Hopefully you can see that. They are 3,000 Kelvin, 4,500 Kelvin, and 5,700 Kelvin
2:42
Now, this works really well. It's super bright on my eyes because especially for photography
2:48
I can get warmer or cooler lighting depending on what I'm trying to accomplish
2:52
Now you're looking at that brightness and you're saying, ooh, that is pretty bright. It is
2:57
It is 500 lumens at its maximum brightness. But if I push the minus sign, then I can step down or I can push and hold the plus sign, for example
3:08
and then it will pull it up and I can choose exactly the illumination level I want
3:14
Really handy. Let me get that down a little bit so I can look at it. But now you can also see that it's individual LED dots, right
3:21
So the battery inside of this is a 5,200 milleramp hour battery, and it can run up to 190 hours
3:30
Now, obviously, at its full brightness, it's going to run a little less, but let's go ahead and leave this
3:36
And I will put it on here. It's so bright. Let's actually turn the brightness down a little bit
3:48
So we'll leave it on here, and let's see what else is in the box. Now let see we gotta get this piece out Then there the user manual And the user manual as you can see in this close shows you some of the many different button sequences
4:06
It's complicated, but with little experimentation you'll understand that like the middle button
4:12
on off or double taps get you the different temperatures and then the plus and minuses
4:18
you can tap to make it brighter or dimmer or you can hold and then it will actually let you
4:24
pick an exact illumination level. So definitely important. And then in the very bottom
4:30
and that's all we got in the box, just hold this way, is a bag. And in the bag, we have
4:37
let's see, okay, so we have a very nice carabiner. So you can hook this to your backpack if you
4:43
want. And there's a rubber lanyard. I'm used to these being more fabric than rubber
4:50
but this feels like it would work entirely well, and that little tiny piece is what would go into that corner
4:56
so that you could actually have it on that. And then finally, of course
5:00
there is a charging cable USBC on one end, USBA on the other
5:05
So basically, it includes everything you want. This is my own little mini tripod that you would have to acquire separately
5:13
if you wanted one. But I have to say, oh, look, and it's magnetic
5:18
It's sufficiently magnetic that I can now demonstrate it that way. So I could wrap this around a pole and then use this like that, for example
5:31
But this is a really slick light. I really like it. I'm always looking for a place to have a way to have little spotlight
5:40
so I can illuminate things for photography. And as you can see, this makes a huge difference
5:47
I can really dial in the brightness and the temperature I want
5:51
If I want to change the temperature you can see a fairly dramatic difference right there So not much else to tell you it has that magnetic O on it and then you can definitely hang it or hook it from things Quarter inch thread It is IP64 waterproof It is
6:09
too bright for my eyes. I'm going to bring it down a little bit and there we go. Gave you the sizes
6:16
Really the only thing left to talk about is the price. This is a great little device. Honestly
6:21
I'm most excited about this as a photographer, but it's obviously a great outdoor device
6:25
to if you're backpacking or camping this is going to be a great addition to your kit
6:30
so before we get to the price I'm going to ask if you could subscribe to my
6:35
channel click or a tap on that subscribe button we're connected really really
6:39
appreciate it cool this is the Wuben F5 power bank camping light it comes in
6:46

7:02
whether you're a photographer or a camper, or you just like to read outdoors or something
7:07
This would be the perfect thing to hang and just illuminate your space. So very, very versatile, that 100 hours, 190 hours
7:15
depending on brightness, is just absolutely fantastic. And anytime you do things, then let's see
7:23
when I turn it on, you can see the light. come on so I can see how charged it is too so that's easy to work with so
7:30
everything about this just basically says this is a great solution so that's all I
7:36
got I'll hope to catch you in my next video
