New iPhone, new cases. Let's check these out

I think they really improved the camera over the 14 Pro, but this isn't about the phone camera

It's about the phone itself. And as you can see, I have it on my wireless charging stand

and it's an expensive device. So I'm a big proponent of how

having a good phone case. That's exactly what I have on this

This case is the Spec Procidio 2 grip. And I really like it

It has a really nice, rigid feel to it. It's perfectly dimensioned and has support

for the new action button on the side and everything. But Spec didn't just send me a case

They sent me a bunch of stuff. So they sent me three different cases

which we're gonna look at. They sent me the perfect, clear the Presidio 2 Pro and the Presidio 2 grip

And they also sent me these new things they have. Now that they have MagSafe cases, they have MagSafe gizmos you can put on the case

So this one is known as the wallet for MagSafe. And on the back, yes, it has a magnet

So it actually goes and just clips right on either of the phone or the MagSafe case

And it's really slick. But they have another one. This one's even more interesting

And maybe I should just open it up a little bit. You can see this is the standy grip for the MagSafe

So again, it just snaps onto the back of the phone. And then it gives me the ability to actually use it as a stand

And then when I don't want to do that, I can just pop it right back off because it's just magnetic

So all of this revolves around MagSafe. And it also all revolves around what they call their click lock technology

So you can see here, and you see in this close-up, that on the grip, there's actually a little indentation

And that's part of the MagSafe system, but that also works with this ever so slight mag spot on the back of the accessory

And it just snaps on. And you can hear and you can see it's not going anywhere

It's a pretty solid connection. And then I can just pop it off when I'm ready

So very slick. Seriously, let's start with the cases. So all of their cases, and take this phone out

all of the cases feature 13 foot drop protection. They have a microband which is an antibacterial protective coating and they are made out of 50 recycle plastic And they all feature that click lock feature

So you see on the inside that it is mag safe, but it's a fairly subtle mag safe

And I like that. So might as well start with this one. This is the spec cases, Presidio 2 grip

And it is a dual layer case. And it is super protective with special like color

for the corners that give you lots and lots of frotic protection

And then it's reasonably easy to put your phone in. Not super easy, but I don't want it to be super easy

because if it's easy to put your phone in, it's easier for your phone to fall out. But once it's in, it is just enough level above the screen

that it's protecting the screen if it happens to fall. The cutouts are all absolutely flawlessly placed

The buttons are all correct. there's the action button. And of course, since it's a mag-safe case

it also works on this mag-safe charger, which is great. And it's strong enough that you can actually do it sideways

And I've found that some mag-safe cases, rather than to my surprise

aren't strong enough with that sort of flow-through magnet, but they aren't strong enough to work horizontally

which takes away some of the fun of the new iOS. So that's the Presidio-2 grip

It comes in seven different two-tone colors. This one, as you can see, is sort of a copper and a greenish gray

It's very attractive, actually. And, oh, the cutout for the phone camera is really, really nice

And it also is a raised surface. So if I do that, my lenses aren't absorbing that impact

So again, the name of the game here is prediction. Let's take this case off and let's move to the next one

So the next one I'm going to look at is the Presidio Pro 2 comes down from the bottom

And this is kind of sort of the same looking case. The difference is that while they have the same interior and the same two-tone

although this one is sort of gray and black, so it's very discreet

And it also has that click lock. The difference is that this one doesn't have the ridges that you can see on the grip

So this is more of a smooth case design. And it's also very attractive

I really like the grip. That is definitely my preference, but not everyone's

And then with the phone in here it is again they all essentially the same case with different styles and colors So it the same bevel on the top It the same perfect cutouts The back is the same even to the point where the ridge that protects the camera lens

starts at the bottom here and goes all the way around, but doesn't go along the bottom

which is nice. And will it work wirelessly? You know it will, but let's test it

Perfect. So now let's go and check out the third one, because this one also comes in lots of colors

and they are all two-tone. And so, like I said, this is black and gray

This has six different dual color options. And then finally, where's our third one

Here it is right here in the middle. This one is one that I think a lot of people actually prefer

because a lot of people are like, well, all these colors and everything

I just want a case that's invisible. And that's what this is. This is the spec, Presidio, perfect clear

And one of the things that they've done here is they put a lot of engineering into making sure that it doesn't get yellow when it's in the sun for weeks or months on end

A lot of the clear cases don't look very nice after a year or two, but this one will not do that

And it's a little bit softer, but it's again that same cutout, same design, same button support and everything

Though it's worth noting in this close-up that the button appearance, is a little different because of the style

but it's just a really nice case, and it's a little more overt with the MagSafe

with that sort of design. And again, of course, I can put this on

and I can use this, and it's going to stay on there until I'm ready to prize it off

And does it charge wirelessly? What an absolute surprise that it does work that way

So those are the three cases. Now, with this case on, let's look at the two accessories that they sent me

So this is the wallet for MagSafe, and it is designed for the click lock cases

I don't see any reason not to get the click-lock version, just for future compatibility

And so now I have the wallet on, and it's a pretty solid connection

and it supports up to three credit cards or IDs or other things

And I don't use this, but my kids love this. When they go clubbing or something

they'll put like $20 and a driver's license in here, and then they know that it's right there with their phone

So it's just that one piece. So that the wallet And then the one that probably a little more fun is the standy grip and that one now actually has a little leg that comes out and so you can use that like this if you want but you can

also just use it as a way to make it a little bit easier to carry and tote this around and that
