Well, in an effort to help animals find their forever home, WNY News Now is partnering with
0:05
Chautauqua County Humane Society in our segment called the Pet of the Week. And today, although
0:10
you can't exactly see him on camera, we have a dog with us today. What can you tell us about him
0:15
So this is Milo. He is a year and a half. He's been with us for only about, I want to say
0:21
a week now. He is a very active dog, loves to play, loves to run around with the springtime
0:29
coming if you're looking for a hiking friend he would be perfect for that he
0:34
loves other dogs he definitely loves kids but we're probably recommending six
0:40
and up for him just because he does have a lot of energy and we don't want him
0:44
knocking any friends to the ground so definitely if you're looking for a
0:49
hiking friend or an active dog for your home definitely come and check out Milo
0:54
oh yeah definitely you had mentioned that he's about a year and a half
0:58
So how big will he get So this is actually him full grown He could definitely gain a couple more pounds because he is a little thinner You can see a couple of his ribs He could gain a little
1:10
bit of weight, but this will be him full grown. So he's about 48 pounds now. So roughly he'll be
1:16
about 50 total. All right. And for a dog, really, how difficult is that to bring a dog into a new
1:24
household? So there is a bit of adjustment period with dogs. So when you
1:29
first get them home they say it takes about three months to completely be
1:33
adjusted to your lifestyle and your routine so it definitely takes a little
1:38
bit of time but overall we do meet and greets with you. We are here to help you
1:44
so if you know you're introducing them into your house and you have any
1:47
questions we are a resource and we're here to help. Alright well thank you for
1:53
coming out here today and if you want to learn more about Milo or any other residents of the shelter make sure to contact the Stock County Humane Society
