0:00
so this weekend we went to mass up in
0:03
Cleveland father's homy was excellent
0:06
you know how you hear something many
0:09
many times and you're like oh yeah I
0:11
understand that or oh I get that it
0:14
never really clicks well yesterday it
0:17
clicked so father was talking about
0:20
re-calibrating so all of the apostles
0:22
were arguing who's going to be the
0:24
greatest for most of us greatness is
0:27
coming through either power or money or
0:31
some other means of worldly success
0:35
right but Jesus says it so many times
0:38
and he just reiterates it again the
0:40
first will be last and the last will be
0:42
first on the face of that you're like
0:44
that doesn't make any sense but what
0:46
father was talking about was that God
0:48
wants us to be great he wants us to
0:51
pursue greatness Jesus wants that for us
0:55
but we're using the wrong measure he
0:58
used the analogy of trying to take
1:00
temperature with a ruler or maybe it was
1:02
vice versa measure distance with a
1:04
thermometer but to pursue greatness is
1:06
not to pursue the worldly successes that
1:09
we think greatness means serving others
1:13
loving others caring about
1:16
people these are the things that Jesus
1:19
calls us to be great in and that homy
1:23
spoke to my heart and I just wanted to
1:28
share that with with you all in hopes
1:31
that it speaks to one of you as well and
1:34
flips the switch my ask of myself today
1:38
is in situations where it's not easy to
1:43
think that way I'm going to try my best
1:45
to think that way and by God's grace
1:48
it'll happen love you guys God bless you
